any diffrence in radio to N5?

I'm with wind mobile, and i keep having issues with their network @ school. I'm assuming because of all the big buildings in close proximity, the problem isn't just loosing my signal its, the problem is that its sporadic and sometimes going to places where i always have a single, i wouldn't. and it would take forever to search for networks.

would the nexus 5x offer any improvement in this area? or is this solely my networks issue?
