missing internet / SIP / VOIP call settings menue

Stock 4.4.4, rooted, xposed:
On my A5 (A500-FU) I am missing that menu which usually is under call settings. Right now I cant make any internet calls. Any idea would be very welcome ;)

Yeah, much likely it won't have any effect. But what is to loose? 15 Seconds? Just go (stock android, 5.1.1) to:

Settings -> About Phone -> Send Feedback about this device

and send them a short message like "Missing Marshmallow :("

Missing (corrupted?) Download Folder

I have no idea how it happened but I no longer have a Download directory. I discovered it yesterday when I tried to download a file. ES says it can't be found.



ES would not let me create a new folder named "Download" but would let me create a differently named folder and rename that folder "Download" but when I click the "Download" shortcut in ES, I get the same message above. Then I notice there is a weird unknown file named "Download" but I apparently cannot do anything with it.



I tried a factory reset, reflashing the latest (complete) OTA, wiping cache and dalvik, all to no avail. I still have no Download folder. :confused:

Facebook messenger notification missing

So recently, i stopped getting notification from facebook messenger standalone app. I've tried everything including clearing data/cache, uninstalling/reinstalling older versions APK, resetting app's preferences (data usage, notification preferences), checking notification option "on" in every possible menu and factory resetting my phone. I do receive notification from facebook, whatsapp, snapchat and kaokaotalk, but just not the messenger app. I can see the message count on the icon, and that is the only way i can tell i have a message. I have read many posts, but no one seems to be able to describe the problem clearly. I think the problem could have been derived from greenify/clean master, but i don't remember hibernating messenger or any other push services, however even if i did, i factory reseted my phone ... Any help would be appreciated. I am currently using note 5.

F2FS Option in TWRP Missing

My favorite ROM (AICP) just added support for f2fs and I wanna give it a try after reading some good things about it. When I went to change the file system the F2FS option was not there. I read a thread saying to push mkfs.f2fs to /sbin but it is already there. I have the latest TWRP 2.8.7. Does anyone know the problem?

YouTube App Missing From Android Marshmallow

After installing Marshmallow from the system image, I realized the YouTube app was missing and was available for download from the Playstore. I checked the /system/app/Youtube folder, and found an apk there that returned a "parsing error" when attempting to be installed. I reflashed the system.img but the issue persists.

My one hunch would be that it was overwritten when I flashed ElementalX and SuperSU, as I only have 385 kb remaining in /system. My fear is that, if this is the case, something more important could have been overwritten as well.

Roaming options missing

Hi, I've got a following problem with my G2 I'm using outside of us, the Roaming options is simply missing from the setting, also there is no roaming checkbox in the mobile data, tried different roms, both stock and mods and these options are still missing. The phone is sim unlocked atm but when it was locked there still were no options. With some sim cards it works totally fine but with others it gives an annoying message from the call guard. The phone is not activated with Sprint, can this be a cause? Also if it is the cause is it possible to somehow activate it remotely being outside of US? Any help appreciated :)

Missing Apps, Sideloaded App and observations

First of all I just got to say the fact that I don't have simple apps such as ABC, Fox or HBO Go is a letdown. I still have to switch between my NP and ATV. I don't understand why the NP is so restrictive. I wish I can run full android with the android TV interface. Not this walled garden without many good apps.

What I really like about the NP is the recommendations feature of Android TV. It is well done and pulls in the videos from various apps. I like this curation.

I use the sideloader app and cloud to side load apps. I was able to side load the MSG Go app on the NP. Noticed that it was in portrait mode so I had to download another app to force landscape on all apps. When I watch the video on the msg go app it isn't crisp. I see the scan lines on the movement from the basketball games and the quality isn't HD. On my iPad the same app looks great. Both run off the same wifi so I don't know why the quality is bad on the NP. Maybe there is a setting I need to toggle but the other videos are fine.

What really is frustrating is that apps like Netflix don't work when updated, I have to turn off auto updates for apps to not break anything. It is difficult to know when an update will improve or break an app. It is also difficult to know when an app is compatible or a great android app can be side loaded without compromise.

If anyone has any advise please lay it on me.

I extended my app memory successfully using EBR1 and EBR2 update.
But when I was checking in "Storage setting" it only shows external sd card and not internal sd card
though phone working sound.

Can't flash any custom recovery, recovery mode goes 'missing'

When this happens I can reflash back to stock recovery and it works fine. I've been attempting to install the CM12 nightly and making use of the links provided for recovery images it supports:

I also tried official TWRP, tried using TWRP Manager app, and in every case recovery mode disappears.


I'm having the undetected SIM1 issue and have seen others report this issue was resolved when they installed a custom rom. Thus far, due to this recovery issue, I've only been able to install official Asus images.

Any help is appreciated.

Google Play Sevices Missing

Well I messed my phone up so no Google apps will start.
I have a boost version, rooted.

What I did, thinking this would not hurt anything and I don't use the apps, I uninstalled updates for google chrome, street view, and gmail. Since I don't use these apps I then disabled them.
Then I tried opening the playstore. It crashes. Cleared cache and rebooted the phone.
A message comes up that google play services are missing. How's that didn't touch that??? Thanks phone.
Under accounts I see I no longer have a google account. Can't add it, doesn't show up as an option to add it.
I re-abled the apps. Still have issues.
Any ideas on how to correct the issue? Wasn't sure I wanted to do a factory reset in case I brick.
Other thing I currently did, was pull the google play services off my S3. Not sure If i could put that on my phone and install it that way?

Hi don't you guys know how to get silent mode quick toggle to show in the quicksettings menu?

Under System UI Tuner in settings it shows up as activated toggle in quick settings, but its not there.

Any tipps?

Help! Reset Your PC "Unable to reset PC. A required drive partition is missing."

Hi everyone, I have a Surface Pro 3 and i made a huge mistake today. I was messing around with EasyBCD and NeoGrub trying to get android to dualboot on my surface, besides the point. I went to delete my bad boot entries and accidentally deleted all of my BCD files.
I figured i could reinstall windows 10 and that didn't work because the drive was locked?.
I wiped the drive in CMD prompt and i cant figure out what to do to get my surface to allow me to re install windows.

Where i am:
I have a recovery USB but when i try to Reset my pc i get an error "Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing."
I cant refresh because "the drive where Windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again." plus im pretty sure i have reformatted my drive already.
I am good with computers but not great and i dont want to do anymore damage.

Can anyone walk me through the steps needed to remake the partition to get windows to allow me to use the "Reset your PC" option. I do not care about lost data.

Youtube App missing in 3.1.1 factory image

Hi,

I reflashed my tablet (LTE RoW) from scratch with the 3.1.1 factory image from Nvidia.
I noticed that the Youtube App is missing after first start and the place on the homescreen where the YT shortcut was before is now empty.

I opened the system.img in the Ext4 Unpacker Tool and can see the YouTube folder with the APK inside in the /app folder of the image.

Why is the App not visible and can anyone confirm that?

Galaxy S6, S6 Edge(+) Missing menu button SOLVED! (well an easy work around) =)

Here is the temp fix guys the problem is a lot of apps detect if there is a hardware menu button and omit showing the soft 3 dot button common in a lot of apps. The S5 has no dedicated menu button but it does have the long press home button option to launch the More options/Menu button, however out Galaxy S6 models do not have this option. BUT some apps still detect it and delete their in app button.

Here is the fix I figured out that works in this situation and it would be good to pass this on or write up a document.

Go to phone settings => Accessibility => Dexterity and interaction => Assistant Menu.

At the top right slide the off button to on to enable the Assistant menu icon on all screens. Then click on the Edit option. In the edit menu deselect all the buttons you do not need by hitting the red negative on the icons (-) in the upper part of the screen. (note it has two buttons that you cannot remove Home Screen, and Menu Settings) on the bottom half of the page hit the green plus sign (+) on the More Options button (It has 3 dots). (note there are lots of other buttons you can add)

Now on all screens is a little round button with 4 dots on it, it appears on all screens in all programs and is floating. There is the More options button now which is the software menu button we are missing =). You can just go back and disable Assistant menu afterward or like me leave this handy button on because I have multiple programs that do this.

Missing "System Updates" button in about phone

Yesterday morning I noticed that the "System Updates" button in Settings/About Phone was missing. At the time I was on the LVY48F(Project Fi build) but have since flashed MRA48K without wiping ddata and it is still missing. Some Google searching found one thread regarding an N5 with the same issue but the resolution they found was a Factory Reset. I'm not opposed to wiping data to fix issues but since this is really more of an annoyance than a problem since I usually flash the images ADB sideloaded the OTAs I don't mind doing some research to see if I can fix . Anyone ever seen this before and know a way to fix it? When I get home from work I'm going to try to use ADB to run the Setup Wizard like you would if you had the broken home button and notification shade.
