Verizon sm900v DE and current roms?

Currently I am running dirty unicorn. It works fine. A few hiccups but can deal with them.

I have installed a few other rooms but basically data doesn't work.

Darklord I can make calls and receive texts but can't send texts or get mobile data. Otherwise phone seems to run fine. Is there anyway I can copy files from DU to Darklord to get texting and data working?

I'm not sure what all files would be need. I found a few in build prop with apn info.

Also dom pop runs but no calls, data, text. I know development is ended here. Apn do not stick when set manually.

Cm for some reason shows my phone as tmobile not Verizon when I try to flash verizon and fails. If I flash tmobile it runs but again no service.

I'm also on 4.3 baseband I think. I'm okay with DU but would really like to try S6/n5 ports as a daily driver.

Please any advise would be appreciated?

Will there be 64bit roms for Tab S2?

So, Samsung makes the Tab S2 with a 64 bit processor, and uses a 32 bit kernel. What's involved in converting a rom, even the stock touchwiz rom, to 64 bit? Can it be done or are we hardware locked to 32bit?

Before starting this tutorial, please make a backup of your ROM
I am not responsible for any damage to your device, this guide is for expert users.

You Need:

- Winrar, 7-Zip or similar
- Notepad++
- Tool for unpack/repack mtk boot.imgs
- Kitkat Stock ROM
- Lollipop ROM for port
- Brain :p

Step 1.- Unzip the port Lollipop ROM and your stock ROM also.



Step 2.- Delete this files or folders in port ROM and replace with your files from Stock ROM:

Step 3.-.Rename you stock boot.img to stockboot.img and the port boot.img portboot.img. Unpack the boot.imgs, compare the fstab(ramdisk/fstab) and make changes in fstab from portboot.img(open it using notepad++). Use zImage from your stockboot.img and the ramdisk from portboot.img, recompile and replace in port rom folder.




Step 4.- Open the updater-script in META-INF in port rom, open it with Netepad++. Edit the mount points(compare with your updater-script from stock META-INF)

I appreciate developers of XDA.
Infact i had been an owner of late GALAXY S2 and used to download all kinds of mods from GRAND XDA.
But dissapointed b/c nothing came out for Micromax UNITE3 since its release in 2015.

I couldn't find any custom ROMs for my Digiflip Pro xt811 tablet. I would like to install Android Lollipop on my tablet. If nobody is currently working on any ports, I suppose I would give it a try. Can anybody give me instructions how can I do that?

[Q][ROM] Kernels and ROMs

Hello people,

I have a bit of a noob question I guess. It's more about on how the Android (guessing any of it) is structured.
If we take a look into the different threads we find a number of versions of ROMs and stuff. But we also find different versions of Kernels.
My question is for example, if switching from lets say stock Android to a custom ROM( eg. Cyanogenmod, AOSP, etc) will it also change the Kernel or is the Kernel separate. Then again there is the question if any Kernel is compatible with any ROM.
I guess the more appropriate question is, does every ROM come with its own Kernel?

This is more just to have a clearer understanding of how this OS is working. Thanks!

Could someone list me ROMs compatible with Boost Mobile variant.

I've used the LiquidSmooth lollipop ROM and now I've decided to stick with the Wicked X ROM. Are there only those two available on my tri-band phone? Are there any other good ROMs out there that I should try out? I understand that this version of the S3 came out onto the scene a bit later but isn't there anything else?

Custom 6.0 ROMs not connecting to Verizon LTE

This is very odd. If I install the stock MRA58K ROM I can connect to Verizon LTE just fine, but as soon as I install Chroma and PureNexus I can only get a voice signal - no data whatsoever. I am using the latest MRA58K modem - MDM9625_104662.22.05.27R, although I have also tried downgrading to 17R and to no avail. I have tried all of the APNs and fiddled with roaming/preferred network type settings, but the only think that seems to solve the problem is flashing stock.

Nexus player external storage for roms?

I'm trying to store my Roms for emulators and movies and other things on an external hard drive connected to the nexus player. When using ES File Explorer I can see my external hard drive, but when I'm trying to load games from it I cant locate the files or the external hard drive. It seems I can only see it using the file explorer other than that I can not see it other wise. Is there anyway around this?

All custom roms gives me no sim detected, stock rom works perfectly

GT-I8910N

TWRP 2.8 installed as 2.6 failed to update binary.

That issue resolved, still I get no sim card detected on any custom rom installed.

Each time I restore to a stock Samsung rom, everything works perfectly again.

I've tried Slim, CM, Omni, different rom versions.

All give me no sim detected.

Any ideas please, TIA

need help all roms fell in bootloop unlocking the bootloader, even with cwn recovery

So me start from the beginning , my phone C2104 was completely updated i used this method to unlock my bootloader and used flashtool http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...cking-t2337955, it unlocked and fell into bootloop so i continued with the method used flashmode to flash C2105_15.0.A.1.31_CE.ftf Stock Rom via Flash tool it worked and i was out of bootloop then i tried few method to root the device didn't workout i found this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...el-v6-t2321550 followed it got the CWM recovery started then i flashed Glade Rom V-2.0 and CM11-23FEB both go into bootloop and yes tried flashmode to flash C2105_15.0.A.1.31_CE.ftf Stock Rom again didn't work only errors and now guys come in need your help and guidance and thank you..

Samsung S5 G900F ROMS Questions

Hi everyone I need your opinion and suggestions regarding ROMS on this device.
I have Samsung S5 (SM-G900F ) and still confused on what ROMS should I get.
Therefore I need your suggestions and ideas my knox was 0x1 without doing anything.

My questions are:
• For STOCK ROM + Custom Kernel which is a good combination of stock ROM and custom kernel?
• For CUSTOM ROM + Custom Kernel which is the most stable and smooth one?

Currently using Sixperience V7 + Hispasian v7 but it is kinda laggy and buggy as of now.
I am a big fan of doubletap2wake so I want those custom kernel and compatible ROMs that support it.

After flashing any custom ROM my device is not showing any carrier signal. Can someone help me?
