[Q] Adaptive brightness fluctuations

I'm using adaptive brightness on the Nexus 9 running stock 5.1.1 and the brightness keeps going up and down, roughly every few minutes even though the conditions are not changing in the room. :eek:

I've tried lux and things are even worse as it feels like there is an argument between the app and the tablet. At first, I thought it was a hardware issue so I changed for another. Things are the same on the second, (although the light bleed is less thankfully.) :angel:

Have any of you guys suffering the same issue? Is it sorted in the M update?
