It seems my phone is temporally FUBAR. It was plugged in, charging, and working just fine. Then suddenly it shut off. I thought maybe the cable had come loose, so just to be sure I connected a brand new HTC cable and charger and turned the phone back on once the charging LED was solid amber. The phone booted, then suddenly gave the low battery sound a few times, then shut off. Then the gray battery icon appeared on the screen with a red !. That's gone away, but now when plugged in it stays at 0% charging. I can boot into recovery, but it shows no battery status. Is it possible that my battery is defective? It seems so strange that this would be the case, since my phone has been working fine regarding battery life and charging for as long as I've had it. Any suggestions or possible solutions would be much appreciated.
