You can root the Verizon Motorola Droid Maxx on 4.4.4 but it won't survive reboot as soon as its rebooted it unroots and uninstalls superuser. If anyone could develop a way to allow reboot that would be awesome.
To root I used Kingoapp one click apk root. I know gross right because it installs superuser instead of SuperSU ,anyways if someone could develop a way to reboot and keep root that would be amazing. BTW disable or uninstall any antivirus and uninstall clean master security as it interfered with the root process. You might have to try more than once and reboot your phone if it kinda goes crazy.
