I have a Note 3. How can I get the latest android version?

I have 4.4.2 right now. How do I get the latest version? It's clearly not coming to me automatically.

I'm located in scandinavia btw.
And are there any benefits to upgrading right now? I'm pretty happy as things are to be honest
