This is only a collection of solutions for these issues. I see many people requesting help for these topics over and over again.
1) If you aren't on ATT, you can borrow someone's ATT sim card. Put in tge phone and check for an update.
2) If your problem is just that the OTA won't install, then ensure that you have between 8 and 10GB of free space on the internal storage. This seems to have helped me and several others, while some report it not helping at all.
3) The Samsung Experience at Best Buy will flash the latest firmware version on your phone. It doesn't matter where you bought the phone or what carrier it's on.
Note: Some Best Buys in rural areas may take up to a month from the OTA launch date for them to get the update files.
4) Thanks to @cociuban For this one.
See his original post here and please thank him if this helped you.

5) Use an Odin file to update.
An Odin file can take days, weeks or months to be created though. You must be patient.
ONE MORE THING:
In order to skip the 24hrs OTA wait time, just roll your phone's date forward a day. Do not change the date until after the update installs though! Otherwise it WON'T install.

For those who have the AT&T Note 4 but are NOT on AT&T network, here is how you can upgrade. 1) Buy a AT&T Go Phone SIM card on eBay (should be around -) 2) No need to buy any airtime 3) Once you have your SIM card, go to the link below to activate your account https://www.wireless.att.com/GoPhone...=activatePayGo 4) During activation process, select the plan. Don't worry, it won't ask you for any money or credit card 5) Once you complete the registration process, you will have 26 days to add funds to your account. During that period, you should be able to perform the upgrade. |
