How to extract bootloader tar from stock firmware

hi ...i downloaded the kitkat stock firmware for verizon note edge because i want to downgrade to kitkat ...is there a way to extract the bootlaoder files and create a tar file to flash with odin so i can flash the kitkat firmware ?
