This is my first post, so please be tolerant if I have made noob mistakes in this post.
Device Setup:
Nexus 9-- all stock, not unlocked, no root access.
Kernel Version-- 3.10.40-gbb66a39
Build Number-- LMY48I
Issue:
I got an OTA update worth 27.something MB. I tried to install the update, and after about 1/5 of the update in, i get an error with the andy's chest open.
Work around tried:
1) Tried to factory reset the tablet and reinstall the update -- failed
2) Tried to boot in safe mode and reinstall the updated -- failed
3) Read somewhere that discharging the battery to 0 and letting the tablet shutdown on its own might work. Tried that -- failed
Questions:
1) Despite of my setup being absolute stock, what could have caused this issue?
2) Is flashing the factory image the only way out? If so, I am ready to learn how to flash. I have seen a few videos / "the long method", but am not confident enough yet.
