Android 6.0 Compatibility and performance- Nexus

I flashed the official 6.0.0 build on my Nexus 5 last night, and restored my backup. I installed elementalx as it wasn't working with stock kernel. However, I am now getting extreme performance and compatibility issues, including random crashing, crash on enter, and crash on root request. I also cannot download files from Chrome, and I get random crashes and lag when I try to load a webpage.

Nexus 5, boot unlocked + rooted.
