How to use the fingerprint scanner perfectly every time.

Hello everyone. Like some of you, I haven't had the greatest experience with the Fingerprint scanner on this phone but through trial and error, it's become as reliable as the S6/iPhone for me. So far it has worked every single time.

First of all, register all 3 fingerprints (two if you need another finger) to the same finger. While doing this, swipe every way you can think of. Example: swipe down with your finger vertical, swipe down with it horizontal, diagonal, and repeat, but in reverse.

TIP: With each register, try to swipe slightly different. Such as, from 20% from the bottom of the screen down, from 10%, and from a half an inch above the fingerprint scanner.

Once complete, set your lock screen to fingerprints, and now, get into the habit of swiping from about 20% from the fingerprint scanner down. This method has worked for me every single time, and this is with a case on that has a lip, which used to really make using the fingerprint scanner annoying.

Help with a project for lightgun games, DuckHunt, Time Crisis, etc

I have a little project I am working on. I have ordered this gun from Ultimarc, http://www.ultimarc.com/aimtrak.html. It's essentially the same concept as a Wii Remote, but it uses HID, which means no special drivers, no programs to download, just plug and play. It will show up on the screen as a mouse. It will be faster and offer line of sight accuracy that you can't get with an AirMouse, and of course, it's shaped like a sweet GunCon complete with two extra mappable buttons.

There are two hurdles for me. First, it isn't wireless. So I plan to fix that with this little gadget. http://www.amazon.com/Nulaxy-Wired-K...eywords=nulaxy. I am hoping to find a way to shorten up the cord and maybe use a 3D printed object to mount that to the gun. But that's down the road.

My second problem and something I am hoping for help on, I would like to change the mouse pointer icon on my SATV. I have been looking around and found a fairly easy change can be made, but a lot of this is pretty old. This person found a way to do it on a Xoom a while back. Android 6 ready for prime time?

What is the general consensus? Is it to early to jump to Marshmallow? Is it robust and functional? Do most apps still run? If I'm not happy can I easily revert to LP? Thanks for any advice.

i am looking for a modded SMS app that shows sent time rather than received time, but i am not looking to put up a new rom altogether. have root but on stock rom - debloated.

is that possible at all?

Adventure time Card Wars save game problem amazon vs playstore apk

Hi there,

i have a problem. I bought Cars Wars on Amazon app store, because it was cheaper than play store...
but now on play store there is a new Version, and on Amazon there ist still the old version.

I use the helium app to extract the save game from the amazon version and want to restore it in play store version.
But with no succes... ;(
The saves are not compatible with the normal play store version.
So now im here ;)
Can anyone help me? I dont know where to ask, so there i am.

I write to the support, and the say they have transfared my saves to a new account, but that doesnt work. I think amazon does not synch the save games with the original server?

time to unlock, root first?

noob to rooting etc, seeking guidance.

i've recently moved from France to the UK, need to unlock my phone (sm-n9005, Lollipop 5.0, AP=n9005xxugbof1)

i could buy an unlock code but (a) that sucks and (b) it seems that root + RegionLockAway would accomplish pretty much the same thing. something better than RegionLockAway for this?

ultimately i'd like to dump the Orange-branded software/firmware and use something close(r) to stock Android. suggestions?

edit: i'm on Linux so Odin/VMware is the way to go?

How to correct date and time?

Hello, here is my problem how to correct date and time on my motorola droid razr hd xt926. I have flashed newest stock rom and after this i dont have correct time. I have also installed root and cwm recovery for locked bootloader. So is there any way to correct time manually with root and cwm recovery because Clock offset fix does not work for me.

changes to build.prop not saving, reverting back to stock build.prop every time

I've seen a few threads about this, but my problem is a little different. I can edit my build.prop and save the changes. however, when I save and exit the text editor and build.prop and go back in, the changes don't stick. I'm on 6.0 with beta superuser 2.51 and elemental 3.0 for what its. anybody have any ideas?

settings app crashes when going into time and language settings

I wanna change my phones UI language, so I went into my settings app and whenever I click on "language and input" the settings app crashes.
I tried restarting, I haven't installed anything and I'm not rooted.

What can I do?

Just wondering how many of you are staying with 5.1.1 until we get more roms kernels ect.

Is battery life getting better over time?

When I first used the OPT, I noticed that it loses battery *in standby* pretty fast. Screen on time was good but just leaving it be would drain a lot of battery. I turned off LTE but also noticed that it often struggled with cell network quality (which usually makes a phone look for other stations etc. thus battery is used a lot).

However, today, after a couple of days of use and maybe 3, 4 recharge cycles, it seems a bit better. Is there a chance that this is an actual effect (it could be something very different). Do batteries also get better after some use or am I just biasing my highly non-scientific measurements here?

After flashing & restoring several time knock on & network signal crushed

I have rooted my LG G2 LS980 kitkat 4.4.2. I make a TWRP backup (AutoRec) & than wipe & flashed CM12 lollipop on it. but I can't like This CM12 lollipop so I restore my backup (kitkat 4.4.2), after that my knock on function not working. Than I tried to flash custom rom of lg g2 ZVG but my phone failed to rebot with ZVG. Than I again restore the backup (kitkat 4.4.2). Now my network signal become unstable. network singnal showing cross sign frequently after few seconds. Please help.

Freezing all the time

Good morning everybody,

I'm experiencing a lot of issues with this phone coming from an htc m8, first of all the phone connection when I am calling someone is hang up without any reason.
Second that is a lot more anoying is apps are freezing all the time especially emails view without any consistancy. Sometimes it freeze for 8 sec sometimes it's just a sec but it just makes me regrets a lot my m8.

Does the app smart manager has something to do with this issue, it looks like it is happening since I have activated it ?
