lolipop sim card bug ?

While I really love the new lollipop release with all my part there seem to be a bug relating to the sim card.
It happens a few times each day that the phone unmount/cant detect sim card.
What happens is that you can have the phone on your table then when you pic it up it will request for sim pin code.

This is a quite serious problem since I want to be able to reached 24/7

Some other person in the lollipop confirmed he had the same problem.
Both we and him seem to have the same problem and it happens when you toggle off mobile data.
Which I always do when I do not want any notifcations from IMs.

I hope there is any solution of this. Also could more people confirm they have the same problem ?

Media problem .. Media on SD Card cant be detected

I got a big problem, my grand do not detect any media on Sd card.. I can access all media by file explorer but do not detected by Galary ., Music Player as well as Any video player. Please help me.. FYI : I have 32 GB memory card..

Hi, when I extract my SIM I broke a pin from the slot :(, now the phone not detect my SIM card. Its possible to replace the SIM card reader ?

HOWTO: Disable “Transfer data to SD Card” Notification in Lollipop

Hey Folks,

I thought I'd share this, because it took me much time to find this solution.

For all those who, like me, get really annoyed by the “Transfer data to SD Card, internal storage is 75% full” notification, which constantly pops up on stock lollipop roms, even if there is more than 2GB of space left, there is a simple way to get rid of it:

On non-rooted phones, you will have to connect your phone to your pc and use adb. If you don't know what adb is, ask google...
In the adb shell, type this command:

adb shell pm hide com.sonymobile.storagechecker

---

Now you will never see this stupid notification again :)

On rooted phones, you don't need a pc with adb. Simply open terminal emulator and type this commands:

I got the HTC inspire at&t go phone and I have a new sim card activated ready to go but it still says no sim card.

I have recently been given a vodafone NFC enabled SIM.

I wanted to use it, but it seems it relies on having the NFC settings on the phone... what's the point?

SIM card not detected (anymore)

Hi,

some issues with my brand new Xiaomi Mi 4i.... I'm getting reaaaally tired of this.
My story with this phone went well for a day. Then I tried to install a french ROM and I guess I did something wrong cause my phone was hardbricked. I managed to recover from that (throught steps I couldn't really remember, I tried so many things) but when I put my SIM card on my phone, it's not detected anymore, despite working on another device (a Lumia 1320)

I read it might be an hardware issue (and not covered by warranty, which is a real shame), but some stuffs tells me otherwise :
- the card was working before the hardbrick;

- MiPCSuite is messed up: it worked perfectly before the hardbrick, but now it's considering my phone as a "mi device" (and not a Xiaomi Mi 4i), I can't backup anything because my phone "isn't up to date" (despite having installed MiUI7 to check if the issue came from MiUI6 for some reasons)... I know it's nothing really important, but it might indicate that it's software related... right ? :crying:

I took the hardbrick well because I know it was my fault, and my fault only. But now that I have this issue... I'm kinda pissed. And the fact is that I don't have any center near me, because I'm in France (explaining why I tried to install a french rom and why my english isn't the best), so if I have to send my Mi 4i back, it will cost me a lot AND I won't have my device for monthes...

CWM not able to read external sd card while installing a new rom

Hi,
I am using redmi 1s with clockworkmod recovery. i tried to install cm12.1 latest version. i wiped the previous rom and tried to install the new rom which is in the external sd card but the cwm is not opening the external sd card, it is not doing anything, it is just stuck there for hours

pictures not showing in gallery after moving to ext sd card

Hey guys, I recently transferred my photos from phone storage to sd card now it is not showing in my gallery. I am pretty certain I found the answer somewhere on here before but I can't find it anymore.

1. The pictures are there in my sd card I can view it in my a file explorer, but it does not show in "gallery"
2. I tried clearing data for gallery and media. I also tried force closing them, still a no go.

Any other suggestions?

Pictures on SD card not in gallery

I just noticed today that my dcim and other picture folders on my SD card are no longer showing up in my gallery. I'm fairly sure they were there yesterday. I'm on a rooted Verizon G4 with 11a software. I haven't made any changes that I know of that could have caused this. I can still access the folders and everything in them using file explorer. Its just not linking to gallery for some reason. Can someone please help with this issue? Factory reset might fix it but I would like to avoid that if possible.

Partition SD card from phone??

I have been looking for a way to partition my SD card from within my phone. What I need is two primary partitions and my laptop will not acknowledge and SD card being inserted. With that, I need to see if it's even possible to partition a card from within Android or TWRP or any other way without the use of a computer.

[Sim card unlock] My network operator blocked my sim network

Hi everybody!
I have sim card and it was working fine, one day I opened my phone then there was no network, I could search for networks manually but I couldn't choose the right network it shows " Cannot choose network please try again later " and when I use apps to see sim status it shows " Sim locked " .
My phone isn't locked and I can use other sim cards from the same operator, maybe my network operator blocked my sim for some reason, I just wanna know if there is some way to make it work again.

SIM Card Problem

Good Day for you.
I lives in Saudi Arabia, and we have three SIM card provider here (STC, Mobily and Zain).
I have a rooted HTC One M7.
I faced a very strange problem with my HTC One M7 mobile phone, which is:
A week ago suddenly my phone stopped working with Mobily SIM Card. Then I did the follow:
1- remove Mobily sim card and insert it in other phone and it's working fine.
2-Tried two other different Mobily sim card in my phone and it's not working.
3-Tried other provider STC with my hone and it's works normally.
4-I went to Mobily office to check if my phone become in a black list, then the guy checked in his system and found my phone in white list. So this good :).
5-I tired to make factory restore and even this not works with me. The problem remain the same.
6-Tried to change ROMs and nothing happen as well.
7-Went for service shop to check SIM card port I found it working fine. I thought may be sim card port got damage in one or two pins for example.

So please can you advise what is wrong with my phone and what to do to solve this problem.

If I re-flash my current stock ROM with the same ROM, will it wipe my sd card data?

I need to reflash my ROM, but I don't want to lose my data on my internal SD partition. So what would happen if I flash the same ROM that I have currently?

I have the stock S6 ROM currently on my device (G920TUVU1AOCG_G920TTMB1AOCG_TMB)

Sim card problem

I have just received the phone this Friday the 9th of October. Today, when I turned on my phone after work it said Sim card 1 is not installed but it works perfectly on slot 2. When i push the Sim card up and hold it on slot 1, it would work but when I let go of it, it doesn't detect it.

SD Card Corrupted

I have a micro SD card that I use in my camera and my phone. As I was transferring pictures to my phone the card started running very slowly and crashing. I put the card in my computer and I can see the folders and files but if I try opening a picture I get a sephamore timeout error. I tried running a chkdsk but it says it cannot run on a RAW drive even though the drive is FAT32.

It seems to be a corrupted for structure. If there a way to fix it without chkdsk?

I have tried a 64GB card which seemed to not work at all.

Does anyone know the max size supported by out old trusty Tablet Z (SGP311 version here)?

External SD card issues

I have a few issues with my external sd and I would like to see if anyone else is facing similar issues and if they could be resolved.

a) When moving about files already stored in the extSD by using my PC (windows 10), it just takes ages or hangs there forever. This happens even for the smallest files like 500kb and it was happening even on windows 7. For example, lets say I create a new folder and try to drag and drop 3 files into the new folder at the same time, it takes over five minutes for 3mb, if it ever completes. The same happens for the internal SD. I have lollipop but the same was happening with kitkat. Is this normal?

b) After upgrading to lollipop my extSD sometimes will not mount. Card is sundisk 32GB and works fine on my PC and my android phone. It is formatted to fat32. I had to format it on my phone because the PC format was causing the issue more often. LG g-pad 7 doesn't have an option to format SD, only to delete everything.

c) Sometimes when I move things within the extSD from the tablet itself (connected to the PC), windows explorer does not update the transfer, unless I restart windows explorer.

d) Sometimes when I create a folder on the tablet, my PC sees it as a file and I cannot open it or store anything in it by using the PC, but I can if I use the tablet. I don't know if this also happens with the internal SD because it does not happen every time so it is hard to check.

i have a problem. I bought Cars Wars on Amazon app store, because it was cheaper than play store...
but now on play store there is a new Version, and on Amazon there ist still the old version.

I use the helium app to extract the save game from the amazon version and want to restore it in play store version.
But with no succes... ;(
The saves are not compatible with the normal play store version.
So now im here ;)
Can anyone help me? I dont know where to ask, so there i am.

I write to the support, and the say they have transfared my saves to a new account, but that doesnt work. I think amazon does not synch the save games with the original server?
