Enabling notifications while using fingerprint?

I get whatsup messages and cant see them before i unlock the screen with my fingerprint.

Is there any way to enable notifications?

Thanks.

How to use the fingerprint scanner perfectly every time.

Hello everyone. Like some of you, I haven't had the greatest experience with the Fingerprint scanner on this phone but through trial and error, it's become as reliable as the S6/iPhone for me. So far it has worked every single time.

First of all, register all 3 fingerprints (two if you need another finger) to the same finger. While doing this, swipe every way you can think of. Example: swipe down with your finger vertical, swipe down with it horizontal, diagonal, and repeat, but in reverse.

TIP: With each register, try to swipe slightly different. Such as, from 20% from the bottom of the screen down, from 10%, and from a half an inch above the fingerprint scanner.

Once complete, set your lock screen to fingerprints, and now, get into the habit of swiping from about 20% from the fingerprint scanner down. This method has worked for me every single time, and this is with a case on that has a lip, which used to really make using the fingerprint scanner annoying.

[FIX] Fingerprint doesn't register after TWRP restore

Hello everyone. I have figured out how to remove registered fingerprints without having to factory reset your device. So, when you create a backup and forget to delete them, you're not SOL when you restore.

Flash this file in recovery and you should be good.

What does it do? Simple, it removes /data/validity/template.db

NOTE: If you have your lock screen set up for fingerprints, this will not reset the lock screen. Upon boot, it will still think you're set up to unlock with fingerprints. You can simply use your backup password to get into your phone then go into settings and set up your fingerprints again. OR if you want, you can remove locksettings.db, locksettings.db-shm, and locksettings.db-wal from /data/system/ while in recovery.

Ulefone 2K Helio P10 Flagship, Metal Frame, Fingerprint ID, Dual LED

Spyphotos shows the new uleFone’s 2K Helio P10 flagship

uleFone is again announcing a new smartphone. Here the first spy photos of their new upcoming flagship. The flagship will be an all-metal device, running on the MTK6755 (Helio P10) chipset and will feature are 2K display.

The display will not be below 5.5-inch, otherwise the use of the 2K resolution will miss it’s point. The front shows that the hardware keys for home, menu and back will be replaced with on-screen virtual keys. When we look at the design, the battery will probably not be removable. On the rear side we can see a fingerprint ID scanner and dual LED flash.

If we look at the competition, I believe that the new Ulefone will come with at least 4GB RAM / 32GB ROM.....

Fingerprint apps

Hello, does anyone know any apps that make use of the fingerprint reader? Doing a search brings up many fake apps. Paypal has it activated but only for Samsung phones

UMI IRON PRO, USB Type-C, Fingerprint Reader, 5.5 Inch FullHD

The UMI IRON PRO will be the successor to the UMI IRON.
The design seems to be nearly the same. But the PRO will have USB TYPE C and also a fingerprint scanner on the rearside. And it will of course still have the notification LED on the front.

Here are the first pictures of the UMI IRON PRO. It seems that an all black version will be available! I have waited for that!

So far still no official specifications out. I will update this post when I know more!

Will 5X have same fingerprint scanner as 6P?

So many reports about how fast hauwei's fingerprint sensor is, but never a mention if the 5X has the same one or a different one that LG came up with.

Please ! Fingerprint sensor not work in official 5.1.1 AT&T Galaxy S6 edge

Hi, i updated my Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G925A) to the last official 5.1.1 firmware from AT&T, the problem is that the fingerprint sensor stop working, and show me a message ; i restart the phone more than once but the issue continues, i have to say that update via Odin, and before do that i unrooted the phone; i think it was a hardware problem, so i flash the previous version (G925AUCU1AOE2) and the sensor works perfect again, then i flash the 5.1.1 firmware one more time and the problem start once again. When i try to install My Knox app there is a problem too and other apps are not installed.
I post screenshots of the issues.

Fingerprint Lock Lock Icon Appears

I have fingerprint lock setup and us regularly. Periodically I'll get this lock icon (shown in the picture) that I have to swipe before I can use my fingerprint to unlock.

No idea how this was setup or what's going on. I've turned swipe on and off, rebooted, wiped cache, but still happening.

Anybody seen this before and if so how did you get rid of it?

Hi everyone,

The fingerprint scanner is not working anymore. The fingerprint id app has disappeared from the settings as well. I tried to do a factory reset and I tried to install the firmware from the huawei website but it didn't work. Does anyone have an idea? I don't know what I should do.

My model is mt7-j1 from japan

Thank you

Is Fingerprint scanner optional?

On the Nexus 5x, is the fingerprint scanner optional?

That is can we still use the number pins to unlock the phone like on previous Nexus devices?
