[Bug] Camera Problem with "Adopt SD as Internal Storage" in Marshmallow

While using "Adopt SD as Internal Storage" in Marshmallow , Camera app is not working as it is searching for SD Card. Any solution ?

After flashing a rom mod storage (SD and Internal) access denied.

Hello, i'm having a problem here. I have a Galaxy S5 and i am using XtroLite Lollipop Rom for quite some time now. Yesterday i decided to flash the aroma mod of it's rom so i could add the option fo multiple windows. I had done it before with the same aroma mod and it worked flawessly so i flashed and it did work, but then i noticed some errors and when i looked the explorer both of my storages (internal and external) are there but show no files inside and apparently give no access permissions, the only thing i have permission to access is the root folder. When i go to philz touch recovery i can check the files on both storages and they are there its most likely they are just not accessible. Tried to plug to a pc while on recovery but no deal. I searched google a lot but didn't find anything related, i also can use most of the apps that were installed on the phone but can't install any newer, cause of internal storage being inaccessible, and im without a terminal installed atm.

I kindly ask for some help, thanks in advance.

[Q] Pull data from internal when bootloop (LG L5 II Dual)

Hey guys, maybe anyone can help me with this situation,

I've a female friend with her LG L5 II Dual (E455) suddenly her phone got stuck in a bootloop and she want to recover most of her data from internal storage. The thing is the data which is she want recover is contacts and WhatsApp conversation also some of documents. About the contacts, she didn't activate the Sync for Google Account caused the phone get lag or something (you know..).

So to the point, is there anyway I can pull the data from internal storage before flashing the firmware..?

I've known about recovery bootloader, but after reading some thread in this sub-forum, as I know the button combination will enter the recovery state and recover immidiately without any options given, am I right..? CMIIW

Any additional information you need, just let me know..

Sorry if my English is not good.

unable to mount the Internal Storage, system, cache and data.

hello'
1- LG L3 stack on logo even after recovery.

I managed to install TWRP through SRKTOLLS2.1.
When I try to install a ROM ZIP file I'm having post:
unable to mount the Internal Storage, system, cache and data.
ADB interface device I manage to see the folders and system files.
*/ SDCARD is empty and there is no file.
/BOOT is empty and there is no file
/cache & /data folders contain folders in the name of lost + found,
/dev contains several directories,
/etc contains files: fstab, mtab, recovery.fstab and to more,
and the other system folders'
I can explorer them via TWRP file manager a and see the contents of folders, copy files or move files.

Internal storage has vanished, my worst fears?

So after having my trusty Vivid as my main device since March 2012, I think it may have met it's end. Randomly the day before yesterday it rebooted on me, then just kept rebooting.. Only way I could get it to boot up was to dirty flash a CM11 over whatever I had before, couldn't remember if it was CM or PAC. Got it booted up but some things didn't seem to be working right so I did a clean install and upon wiping noticed a message that said "unable to mount emmc" and I didn't think too much of it. I continued flashing gapps and supersu and was able to get the phone to boot and work but certain things didn't work right so I proceeded to wipe and flash again but this time I also noticed that my Internal Storage of my Vivid now reads as 0MB and my external SD is reading as 58254MB or whatever as it's a 64GB. I am having the same exact issue as the guy here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2576897 but my issue is resolved the same way as him. I go to TWRP and I mount as USB but nothing ever appears in My Computer or even Disk Management. I'm relatively certain the internal storage is fried.

Now, if this were the case, how I do I still have about 4GB available for flashing ROMs onto? sdcard0 has no directories and is not found by any file explorers or disk management software that I know of. Somehow I'm still able to flash ROMs, receive calls and texts, and use most of the general functions of my phone except those requiring internal storage (like Titanium Backup).

Does anyone have any tips or advice? Should I try doing any of this from a linux machine or will it not make any difference? What phone should I upgrade to if I can't resolve this issue, because I'm not going to be dealing with it for very long?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

swap internal memory with sdcard or something on cm 12.1?

Im on D620 with last stable build of cm21.1 by nikita!
is there any solution for internal memory? or by any change your app data like whatsapp, fb, soundcloud can b placed on sd?

[Q] How to access the internal storage of other application?

Hello, I am developing an application and I wonder if it is possible to access the internal storage of other applications, know that it is possible to access the internal storage of standard applications such as photos, documents, etc.
But I wonder if it is possible to access the internal storage of all applications, not just the standards. If possible, how I do it?

Sorry for my bad English, I am Brazilian :D.

Asking for the solution to the internal storage problem😑

I have a problem with my Xiao Mi (HM NOTE 1S CMCC).

I can't uninstall the apps that I have installed and the system apps too.whenever I unstalled the apps ,it didn't work.

I got my phone rooted already.I think I would be the internal storage read-write permission problem.I have tried a lot of SD-fix apps, but it didn't work

Even thought,it also can't data reset or wipe the ROM from the recovery that It would show you "Failed".

Could you guys have any ideas on it?Thanks a lot!:)

Can't delete obb folder in internal storage??

Lost access to internal memory after flashing. Tried EVERYTHING.

Here's how I spent my last night.
I have I9500. I decided to downgrade from 5.1.1 CM, did wipe, flashed MIUI. Didn't liked it - wiped - flashed CM 4.4.2 11-20140217.
First sign of a problem were black previews in default Gallery (I can't say if it was on MIUI or CM); then I tried to install xposed and got error. It become evident that my /Android/data/ is read-only (my camera was crashing on startup, browser - when I tried to download file).
I tried to change permissions via Root Explorer -> got an error ("Can't change permission, possibly you have file system that don't allow that."). I Googled, tried some apps, without success. Tried various terminal commands, a lot - with same result. Then I formatted all partitions via recovery (they all was ext4). Fixed permissions. Installed CM nad Gapps again - no result. I wanted to format my phone via PC, but coudn't figure out how to mount it as Mass Storage.
Help, please. I'm at my wits end.

Sorry for grammar.

P.S.
Yeah, I totally forgot - last option I'm gonna use is flash original firmware via Odin. Problem is it's kinda heavy, and my internet is not so good.

Google Internal OTA Update offered for 5.0

I received a refurbished nexus 5 that appears to have possibly been an ex-googler's. This morning I was offered the following OTA update:

Here is my version information. As of yet I haven't updated to the offered OTA

Any idea's what's going on here? Is the rom dump of what I've got here at all interesting/useful?

USB camera as internal one

Hello,

Is there way to trick Android to think that USB camera is internal? I mean to make camera apps to work with USB camera. I know that there are dedicated apps that work with USB cameras. But the point is to make standard Android interface to work with USB camera. I guess driver development may be involved. It is OK. Just trying to know if somebody did similar stuff or has some idea how to do this or if this possible even.

Android Marshmallow internal storage - too much storage used?

I have just upgraded to Marshmallow (MRA58K), installed some apps. Then I went to Storage & USB and discovered, that there is 3 GB memory used of 12,55GB. The list below showed, that less than half of the 3GB should be used. Where did my 1,6GB go?

Here are the screenshots:

Guide for those struggling with 'Adopt SD as Internal Storage' in Marshmallow

The first time you boot up your marshmallow device, you will receive a notification asking if you want to use your SD card as Internal or Storage. If you use storage its like any other external storage. But if you choose Internal, it will format your SD card to ext4 just like you would if you were to use Link2SD.
Now most of the apps will be stored on this SD card. However some won't and that's when you'll start running out of space. But that's not the case. Hidden inside is the option to move these apps to the SD card as well (along with the entire data and obb files). This is what you gotta do:
  1. Go to Storage & USB

  2. Go to Internal Storage

  3. Go to Apps

  4. Select the app

  5. Select the option 'Change' and select your SD Card and then select Move from the 'Move Authenticator' and it's done!

Mind you, that the pre installed apps and the bloatware cannot be shifted this way. However it won't matter. you will still have around 900 MB free and even if the pre installed apps take up cache space there is plenty of space.
Enjoy!
