For those having issues editing their build.prop in Marshmallow,or other system files

As ive been reading about this very much lately, after people have flashed Marshmallow and rooted, many are having issues editing their build.prop files. And many arent having any issues at all. Well, the fix is rather easy. You are going to have to change your SElinux to be permissive. Many that arent having the issue is because they are either using a custom kernel that has set SElinux to be permissive, or are using an app to change it. I use an app, dir viper4, because it needs to gave SElinux at permissive. There arent any apps that do it in the play store, because google removed them. But.. theres a site called xda that somebody is posting their SElinux changer app in ;) http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2524485

Some WGTs download from Gear App Store for those in need

After reverting back to KitKat, I was able to download wgt from Samsung Gear App store.

I download over 30 apps, and has uploaded to Drive for anyone interested.

Please refer to my follow link:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?...TQ&usp=sharing

This is only the temporary solution. I still wait for a day when someone hack Gear Manage on Play Store for legacy Gear devices: Galaxy Gear, Gear S, Gear 2, and Gear 2 Neo.

Enjoy!

For those having trouble downgrading firmware and trying to root

I know that some people are having some issues working with the flash tool and downgrading their firmware to get root. There IS an easier way. The way I rooted the last time was to:

1) download one of the prerooted flashables (I chose one of the lollipop ones) and put it on my SD card,
2) use Kingroot on the .44 firmware to get temp root
3) install the dual recovery.
4) Once dual recovery installed and booted to TWRP for the first time I did a wipe (may not be necessary) and flashed the pre-rooted .zip
5) wiped cache/dalvik (again, maybe not necessary) and rebooted to rooted lollipop with supersu.
6) If kinguser is still installed (I don't believe it was for me) just uninstall it.

Those damn three dots......

..

those of you on tmobile

Want to switch to T-Mobile from VZW at end of my Verizon billing cycle around Nov4 (anywhere before that maybe like 2-3 days)

How is signal treating you guys without band12?

I will be joining my friends plan he has 2 lines for 100 unlimited everything so my line will be +40

I understand on 5.1.1 there is no wifi calling on Moto X but that might change in 6.0 and maybe with 6.0 they will add band12?

One place I travel to frequently has very bad tmo signal inside the building nothing has changed since year ago when I tested tmobile otherwise everywhere I go signal is always great (while I tested)

Guide for those struggling with 'Adopt SD as Internal Storage' in Marshmallow

The first time you boot up your marshmallow device, you will receive a notification asking if you want to use your SD card as Internal or Storage. If you use storage its like any other external storage. But if you choose Internal, it will format your SD card to ext4 just like you would if you were to use Link2SD.
Now most of the apps will be stored on this SD card. However some won't and that's when you'll start running out of space. But that's not the case. Hidden inside is the option to move these apps to the SD card as well (along with the entire data and obb files). This is what you gotta do:
  1. Go to Storage & USB

  2. Go to Internal Storage

  3. Go to Apps

  4. Select the app

  5. Select the option 'Change' and select your SD Card and then select Move from the 'Move Authenticator' and it's done!

Mind you, that the pre installed apps and the bloatware cannot be shifted this way. However it won't matter. you will still have around 900 MB free and even if the pre installed apps take up cache space there is plenty of space.
Enjoy!
