[q] running brunch from bash-script

I am trying to compile my own version of AICP on a little server I rented, but as the build process interrupts from time to time, but everything builds fine, after i repeated the brunch command several times, i want to write a bash-script that repeats the brunch command until the build process is finished successfull. Everything on that script works so far except one important thing, when the brunch command should be executed, it just tells me that the command wasnt found, although i run . build/envsetup.sh through that script before. Is there any way i can use brunch inside a shell script? Google didnt give me a solution on that

Running PC Game Streaming silently?

Hello all,

The main reason I bought an Nvidia Shield Android TV was to replace my PS3 as a media server and most importantly to free up my desktop so my wife could use it for her work.
However, I've since discovered that the shield game streaming facility uses up the monitors, keyboard and mouse, rendering the desktop PC a complete slave to the shield console, it doesn't stream the game silently in the background like say a media server would like plex or whatever.
I've tried installing the drivers for the onboard graphics card, sticking a HDMI cable in the back of one of the monitors and using the onboard HDMI, using that monitor's interface as the primary one so my wife could use it, but when I try and stream a game on the shield it just tells me that the GeForce GPU needs to be the primary source.
A bit annoying, I might need to fork out some money on a new machine just so she can use the desk, we don't have much room in the house.
I can't really think of any other way to get around this. Anyone else had any luck??

can i relock my bootloader while running a custom rom? want to make android pay work

i'm running octos rom, which is based off of cm 12.1. I read that android pay checks for an unlocked bootloader. years ago when i got this phone i used EZ unlock to unlock the bootloader. http://rootzwiki.com/topic/32456-app...tloaders-only/ . can i use it again to relock the bootloader and stay on this rom? will my phone work? is this a pointless exercise to make android pay work when it never will?

ROM Upgrade Options for Moto G Purchased 4/2014 Running VZW Android 4.3 US

Hello, this is my first post on these forums, but I have used several threads found on here previously. A little background: I purchased my Moto G from Boost Mobile back in April of 2014, ran it for a month on the Boost network, then unlocked the bootloader, rooted it, and loaded the Verizon Android 4.3 US rom and ported it over to Page Plus, and I have been there ever since.

My question now is, I'd like to get a clean factory reset on it in hopes of restoring some performance. It lags from time to time and has developed some quirks over the year and a half. I know Android 4.3 is an old version, would I benefit from any newer ones? I've been having trouble finding the correct rom I should be using for my phone. The link I originally got the VZW 4.3 US Rom from is no longer working, and I'm not sure where else to look.

I've backed up my user apps+app data with Titanium Backup Pro, my WiFi passwords, SMS, and this time, remembered to transfer my pictures as well as the backup files themselves off my internal storage/SD card. I think I am ready to flash.

What options should I look into for a new start? TIA.

Multiple Simultaneously Running Android Emulators

I am looking for a way to run simultaneously run multiple android OS emulators. The emulators need to appear as either phones or tablets for app compatibility. My overall goal is to be running 5 instances of the same app at the same time. My first attempt was with Andyroid, however I could not figure out how to run more than one instance of andyroid at a time. Then I tried BlueStacks but the app I was interested in running wouldn't work on it. I tried installing an Android OS on virtualbox but the app failed to install because the device did not show up as a phone/tablet. I attempted to use MarketHelper but it did not work, not sure why. Currently I am trying Droid4x but the app seems to stop working after a couple of minutes. Is there anything out there that meets my needs?

Troubleshooting battery life on a T-Mobile S5 running stock KK

My wife has a T-Mobile Galaxy S5 running 4.4.4 kitkat and it's not rooted. She's getting horrid battery life... think ~ 30% battery left after 5 hours off-charger, without much screen on time... according to gsam, it's "always" the Kernel (android OS) and Android system that are the top 2 under app usage.

I'm tempted to suggest a wipe and reload... but I don't know what she should be experiencing for battery life...

What can I check to be better informed? Should I push her to move to 5.0 or 5.1.1?

Installing Marshmallow on a rooted device running custom ROM (pa 4.6 beta 6)

I had a lot of issues with lollipop 5.1.1 in my nexus. All Google apps connected to internet only via WiFi and it wouldn't connect through the mobile data connection.
And then there was the battery life problem. So I switched to PA 4.6 beta based on kitkat. I would now like to try Marshmallow.

My question is, will downloading the factory image and flashing it through clockwork mod work? Or should I revert back to 5.1.1 nandroid backup I made earlier and wait for OTA? I can see some post about a feature called verity and the complications it brings to rooted users in 6.0. Does this affect the process of flashing a stock factory image on a rooted phone?

S4 running 4.4.2 and safestrapped back to plain old stock?

I am taking over my son's S4. I know it is on 4.4.2, rooted and running a safestap custom rom. Otherwise I know nothing else. Phone works fine I just want to take it back to stock for my own use and if I want to tinker with it more I will.
Can I just use one of the ODin tar's back to stock and let it OTA to current or will something special need to be done? If so which one? I am fine with a full wipe if needed.
Any help greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Running international ROMs on N910T

This isn't my fix. Thanks to @gaganmohal for the original post. Anyway turns out the recent N910W8 data fix for international ROMs also works on our N910T. Which means we now have access to a bunch of new ROMs to flash in the international note 4 forums including some note 5 ports. I don't need WiFi calling at the moment so this is exciting news for me!


Here is flashable .zip file for No SIGNAL/DATA issue when running International N910F/G LOLLIPOP 5.1.1 roms on N910W8/N910T devices. Download link below.

UPDATE YOUR DEVICE TO 5.1.1 OFFICIAL FIRMWARE BEFORE YOU BEGIN.

Instructions: 1) Clean Flash any N910F/G LOLLIPOP 5.1.1 TOUCHWIZ rom via custom recovery, dont reboot yet

2) Flash any custom kernel for your device (For some reason you wont get signal if using emotion kernal, use AEL multivarient for 5.1.1)
Reboot Now. Reboot takes 10-15 mins. Be patient.
Setup your device and once done, reboot back to recovery and

3) Flash INTL. Data Fix, reboot
As always make a NANDROID BACKUP before doing anything.

Note- I tested this on Canadian note 4 and its working fine, T-Mobile users test this fix and let me know if its working for them or not.

[My first time(s)] Getting CM on my S7500 running

Hi together,
I'm stuck flashing my phone and don't know how to continue to solve this problem...
These are my first tries installing a custom firmware.

Here some details:

- Phone: Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus (S7500)
- Android: 2.3.6 (stock)
- CWM: 5.5.0.4
- Odin: 1.87
- CM: cm-11-20150201-UNOFFICIAL-trebon

This is what I did:
- Activated USB-Debugging
- Turned device off, restarted in Download-Mode (VOL down, Home, Power)
- Installed CWM with Odin (running Odin as administrator, virus protection disabled)
- Copied CM + gapps to SD root directory
- Turned device off, restarted in recovery mode (VOL up+down, Home, Power)
- Selected cm-11-20150201-UNOFFICIAL-trebon.zip
- Received Status 7 error
- Unpacked cm-11-20150201-UNOFFICIAL-trebon.zip, opened updater-script, removed the assert lines, saved, repacked cm-11-20150201-UNOFFICIAL-trebon.zip
- Recovery Mode boot, corrected CM selected, installation aborted (no details given)

Does anyone have a clue how I should proceed now?
I already installed a stock ROM and proceeded exactly the same way. Same behaviour. :rolleyes:
