Windows 10 tablets?

I'm fully aware this site is mainly android & windows phones. I'm just looking for someone that might be able to fix an app that was released for windows 8 pc's. It's called Touchpal, it was put out in Windows 8 but was dropped. It's a swipe feature & is badly needed for us tablet users. I have been able to get the program running by installing & running it in Windows 8 compatibility mode. Everything about the keyboard works except for the swipe function.
I'm wondering if anybody might be willing to take this task on & see if they can get it to work properly, seems like it might not be that hard to accomplish for anybody that knows what they are doing.

Help cracking software on Windows CE Device!

I'm not sure if I am in the right place to ask this, but here goes.

I work for a land surveying company and we have been using a software called C&G to collect data out in the field. The software runs on a piece of hardware called a data collector. To be more exact, it is an Allegro CX made by Juniper Systems. The device is loaded with Windows CE .Net 4.20 along with a program called PocketDOS. The C&G program runs inside of PocketDOS. The software is SUPER old and the company is no longer around to support it. We have no desire to purchase a new software package as this one works just fine for what we need and everyone is used to it.

We have at least 8 licenses for this software, but the problem is, it is coded to register based on the serial number of the Allegro data collector. We have had multiple data collectors go bad, so we are looking to purchase more units, but we will be unable to register the C&G software on these units because the serial numbers will be different.

So my question is, can anyone help me modify the C&G program and make it so that it does not check the serial of the data collector? That way, we can purchase new data collectors and load the software (that we have rights to) on the new units. If the company were around to support the software, we would be able to call them and they would generate new registration codes.

I can send links to download the software, along with any DLLs you might need from the data collector.

Cannot install drivers for MTX65xx on Windows 10 64 bit for Telekom Puls Tablet

The normal tablets name is "Telekom Puls" and is from a German ISP. When I turn Developer Mode and Debug Mode on, it identifies itself as "MT65XX Android Phone" in the Windows 10 Device Manager.

I was looking at different websites on how to make universal adb drivers, but it won't work, Windows 10 64 bit is complaining then that the .inf file has been tampered with and refuses to install it.

I looked into multiple similar posts (also here on XDA), but none of them was conclusive. Does anyone have pointers or advice on how to make this thing work?

Also tried the ADBDriverInstaller by Koush, it says incompatible with Windows 64 bit when I try to download the driver.
I also tried various other prebuilt drivers from around the net, but none helped.

Is there any way to get this Tablet installed so I can start making apps?
I would appreciate any help.

ps.: I hope this is the right place, I am new to these forums but I read a lot here and you guys rock. Neither Reddit nor Stack Exchange could help me, so here is my hope for you guys :).

JIAYU S3 - Windows 7 64b drivers?!? WTF HOW?????

This is about the hardest phone i got to install some windows drivers! This piece of **** drives me nuts!!
I'm about 5 secs away from smashing it onto my desk and trow it out of the window!!

For about 2 weeks or so it worked just fine, i could connect usb to my pc and access all my files. Internal as external sd.
Now i just can't anymore... made a bunch of pictures today and wanted to transferr them to my desktop. NOPE!
When i open explorer and browse to my phone it shows 2 or three maps and then the green progress bar coms up and
the **** hangs! It takes about an hour (if i let is go on) to find some more maps.. but very slooooooooooow!
If i click on a map nothing happens... internal as external can't acces... everytime i try i see 2 or 3 maps and then the **** hangs.

Tried to restart pc serveral times, makes no difference
Tried delete S3 in device manager and reinstall, makes no difference
Tried to install a bunch of other usb drivers, makes no difference except that my pc did not like that at a certain point
Tried to uninstall all the usb drivers and restart desktop, hopefully do it with a clean install, makes no difference

I just don't know what to do, or what driver to install!?! I came from a samsung and that was sooooooo easy to install..
Plug it in, install drivers, root, flash and ****.

Jiayu... NOOO!! Preloader, ADB driver, MTK driver MTP driver... arrrgh... WTF!?!

fastboot oem unlock returns nothing for Panasonic T40 in Windows 8.1

I want to unlock my phone for installing a ROM and I have setup the Android SDK alongwith all the drivers USB debugging ON, but 'fastboot oem unlock' is resulting in three dots (...) nothing else. Phone keeps displaying the '=>Fastboot mode' text. 'fastboot-windows oem unlock' results as command not recognized. 'adb devices' and 'fastboot devices' both successfully give the serial numbers. 'fastboot oem device-info', 'fastboot flashing get_unlock_ability', 'fastboot flashing unlock' all these also result in three dots (without the text of <waiting for device>).
I have also finished trying 3 different data cables with 4 computers. I don't have any linux around me, only Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. Also tried with root and without root (Rooted the phone with Kingo) and tried to run all the commands from the SDK folder as well as administrator.
Please help me with unlocking the oem.:confused:
General info: the phone is having Android 4.4.2. Willing to install android 5.1.1. (suggestions for any supporting ROM will cheer me :D)

Possible to Port/Run Stepmania on Windows RT?

There's older versions that might be lighter on load for the RT to run. I'm really not aware of anything else that might be needed in order for a successful port, other than it won't work if you need directX.. I think. Also, as far as I'm aware, I'm *pretty* sure it uses OpenGL. Just a curious question, is all. Would be so cool if I could play this on my tablet though.

Unlocking bootloader on Windows 8.1?

Hello, I am new on HOX forums and I've tried to unlock my bootloader and install custom recovery on my HOX but I can't make it work. Are there any special drivers for Windows 8.1, or it can only be done on Windows 7?

Is the windows 10 upgrade easy or should I keep waiting for windows 10 stock

I ordered a windows 10 version of this tablet over 3 weeks ago and it just isn't coming in stock where I ordered it but I see that they do have a windows 8.1 version in stock. From what I have seen upgrading to windows 10 doesn't look like a lot of fun. Can you comment on your experience and if you think I should just keep waiting for one with windows 10 already installed to come into stock.

warranty device shipped with windows, how to android root

Hello, my fifth warranty device shipped "new" from factory with windows. I did not request this. Can I switch to android in order to unlock bootloader, root, switch to android and install GPE? System information below.

Are you thinking about changing from Note phablet to a Windows 10 phablet?

After the release of the microsoft lumia 950 it got me wondering. Wouldn't windows have even more features and customization possiblities compared to android? And maybe even better pen compatibility expierence?

Or is that bs because it is not open-source or something?

Bluetooth connection of Keyboard sync Android and Windows

I have a bluetooth-keybord for my dual-boot Tablet with Android and Win 8.1
If I connect on Android, I have to enter some digits, to pair the bluetooth-keyboard.

If I shutdown android and start windows, I have to unpair the old Connection with the Keyboard (I've made in prev. Sessions) and repair it.

If I switch back to android, I've to do the same thing. Unpair, and Repair again.

I'm not sure, but I think, if I enter the digits which shown at the screen of pairing Dialoge, the Keyboard will save this as part of it's connection.
And because on Windows I got other Digits to pair the Keyboard, this saved Key is changed.

Isn't here a way (or App), which make me able to preset the Number I need to enter in the Keyboard for pairing it?
In this way, I could use the same pairing-key on win and android and don't need to unpair and repair the Keyboard all the time if I switch the OS

Windows Journal on Windows RT?

Hello everyone,


First of all sorry for my English!
I have a Microsoft surface 2 running Windows RT 8.1 which i bought so i can't take college notes. And for my disappointment i found out that my surface don't have the palm rejection technology. So i had to buy a Huion Cura Glove and a Stylus for capacitive touch...after that i was again disappointed when i found out that there's no Windows Journal on Windows RT! :(
I don't like the One Note app and all the other apps...
So i'm asking if theres anyway to get Windows Journl on my Surface

Can't see any files or folders in Windows 10 when connected via USB

This was working before update to Android 6.0. Would appreciate any assistance on this as I really need to copy files to my device.
