I am trying to connect an email app (AquaMail) on my phone (Sprint Samsung Note 4, stock rooted, Android OS 5.0.1) to my email server (IMAP) using SSL. When I try this, I get the following error message:

The server to which I am trying to connect is my own VPS. I do have a wild card certificate installed on the site and I believe it is installed properly. I say this because of the report I generated on www.ssllabs.com/ssltest:

• Cipher Strength: 90%

Two certification paths are shown: mail.mydomain.com -> StartCom Class 2 Primary Intermediate Server CA -> StartCom Certification Authority (one path shows this with SHA1withRSA and the other shows SHA256withRSA).

not getting text or email notifications, not vibrating..

I am no longer receiving text message or email notifications on my watch. It doesn't buzz/vibrate. When I check the cards, the messages are there, the watch just isn't vibrating to let me know. I've restarted the watch, and resynced applications, and then restarted the watch after I re-synced apps, still nada. I've tested sitting still at my desk, so it isn't that I'm not feeling the buzz, it just isn't buzzing. It is vibrating for phone calls though. Suggestions?

I have a gen 1 Moto 360 and a Galaxy S6 edge. I just got the 360 yesterday so I'm a newb. I'm not getting texts or email on my Moto. I use Chomp and Gmail. I have received at least 1 text but I'm not receiving them at all now. My phone calls show up fine. What am I missing?

Exchange Services and Email app syncing complete GAL

My company has bought about 50 HTC Desire 526G devices.
All running KK 4.4.2
Our mail system is Office 365.

We are unable to configure any of these devices for mail using the native Email app.
Error: Couldn't sign in.
Other Android devices working fine.

Reason for native e-mail app: Contacts synchronisation on the device
All users are managing their contacts in Outlook and those should be synced with the device.

So I've installed an updated version of Exchange Services (tried different versions) and the configuration is working now.
Problem is that it downloads the complete Global Address List instead of the users' contacts.
Also tried different versions of the Email app from apkmirror. Same issue
And tried with Exchange on the Gmail app. Configuration successful but it downloads the complete GAL.

Any other suggestions?

Can't reply back to a text or email

Everytime I go to reply back to a text I received it says unable to send message. Sometimes out of the blue I can, but i can't almost all of the time. Or it will say call not aloud. Just didn't know if I was doing something wrong?????

On my nexus tablet on Gmail when I want.t add a new account, it gives me an option to choose from icloud, exchange, yahoo and many more.

But on my Samsung s6 it only gives Gmail or pop/imap


Is there a way to get this to work the same way as my nexus?
I've exchange, icloud and Gmail accounts. I want all of them to be in Gmail app with push and folder sync

Sending Email from My Email address

I am a beginner to Android development. I just started making an Android app in which there multiple EditText fields where user would fill in some data and then click a button. On button click I need to send an email using my email address which is GMail (NOT THE END USER'S). So, I searched on internet for this, found a way by using "JavaMail" API. But I had to "Enable access to insecure apps", in Google settings of my GMail address for it to work. I don't want my end users to grant access to their email accounts.
I searched for OAuth2 implementations but all were there for using the end user's account to send email.

Help me to find a way to send email from my own GMail account without enabling insecure apps for my GMail.
