CM11 kernel

Hello everyone! Because i was tired of lollipop performance and bugs on our phone, i decided to downgrade to cm11. I found this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...od-11-t3216484 . But i cannot find a compatible kernel for it without losing wifi, so i have to deal with the screen flickering and subpar cpu management of the stock kernel. Can someone help me finding a kernel or making the newer ones work with wifi?

Extreme lag issues Xperia Pro (Lupus kernel + Ultimate HD ROM)

Good day all,

I am a proud owner of an Xperia Pro... Or was. I have this phone since 2011 and in order to keep using it I had to perform some major enchangements to keep it going.

The enchangements:

- Lupus stock plus kernel ICS
- Ultimate HD ROM
- Greenify (paid version)
- Link2SD (paid verison) all user apps are on ext2
- I/O = 'SIO'
- Governor = 'LagFree'
- CPU = '1018mhz'

There is no bloatware (removed it with Titanium Backup) on this phone, except for Google Play Services (which Tinder intended me to have in order to make use of it)

Now the issues. The phone is horribly slow sometimes, and has its moments that it reboots itself when it gets just a little heavy. Like, during navigation per bluetooth on car the phone reboots itself sometimes without a clue. Underneath here is a general list of what is wrong with the average usage on daily bases:

- Whatsapp sometimes takes avg 12 seconds to start
- Tinder takes avg 10 sec to start
- Browser (Dolphin) most times takes avg 5 seconds before I can use it.
- RootExplorer takes avg 5 seconds before I can use it.
- Quickpic takes 5 seconds before thumbnails are loaded

Please know that this is not always the issue, but most of the times: it is.
With several software I have tried to find the reason for this ridiculous lag, but I always seem to have enough RAM, internal memory and enough CPU so I don't know what is going on.
I also turned on the options to show ANR's in the background, it usually tells me either Whatsapp or Google Play that became an ANR, sometimes as a follow-up it says SystemUI ANR too.

I can re-flash the ROM and kernel but within a few days I will experience the same sh*t again.

Any other Xperia Pro user experience this? What are my options?

NOTE: I prefer not buying a new phone, in the Netherlands there are no such phones like the Xperia Pro anymore because of fashion reasons.

[Q] How do I properly use a prebuilt kernel with AOSP?

I'm trying to build AOSP for Moto X 2013 (ghost). I've successfully built the kernel separately already (and flashed it to my device to make sure it works) but I can't seem to find a way to tell AOSP to use it. I get the following error when running make -j16 otapackage:
No private recovery resources for TARGET_DEVICE ghost
make: *** No rule to make target `out/target/product/ghost/kernel', needed by `out/target/product/ghost/boot.img'. Stop.

I've already tried to add this line to device.mk:
LOCAL_KERNEL := device/motorola/ghost-kernel/zImage
But it did nothing.

Any ideas?

[Kernel][OC] visi0nary's kernel

Hello everyone,

I'm excited to announce my first kernel, whooohooo! I tested it on 07/25 and 09/09 but it should work on all other ROMs based on stock (i.e. Eragon). It's only difference compared to stock is a 1,5 GHz cpu frequency step at the moment but more features will come sooner or later :)

The usual disclaimer applies:

Code:

#include

 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications.
 */

Changelog:

Code:

0.5:
* added 1,5 GHz overclocking

LWX49K wont accept "New" Kernel (Battery Fix)

Hello! I have recently used Pc Companion and went from Stock to LWX49K and flashed Twrp successfully. Now im attempting to flash New Kernel and flash appears to be successful but...upon reboot and checking kernel with adb command (adb shell cat /proc/version) and it continually shows old Kernel with Swan signature. Prior to this upgrade from Pc Companion i was running LDZ22D and flashed New Kernel and first attempt was flawless. but i cant seem to get LWX49K version Kernel to take.
Question: I wonder if my reboot process after flashing new kernel is preventing the install successfully or at somepoint should i be Wiping Cache and data maybe before the reboot? I have tryed Fastboot Continue, Fastboot Reboot, Fastboot Boot New_boot.img , but no matter what or how i reboot the SW3 it continues to boot on old Kernal after flashing new Kernel every time. Am i doing something wrong?
Please Help as User: Zr1 and myself are having same issues at this time. Thankyou in Advance

[KERNEL][L][STOCK][5.1.1]intersectRaven's Kernel - 20151012_17XX

Development Goals:
- stability
- energy savings due to more efficient ARM algorithms
- strictly no overclocking unless approved by the manufacturer or my source base integrates it (also, even if my source base integrates it, expect no support for it)
- no undervolting as well unless the manufacturer approves it since it's relatively pointless IMHO...
- all improvements should require MINIMAL user interaction (e.g. you don't need to do anything except flash the kernel or at the very least use SetCPU or the like to set fixed options)
- stability

*note: FAQ is at the 3rd post

Latest Kernel Here
20151012_17XX:
- initial release
- compiled using own GCC 5.2 compiler
*not yet in recovery flashable zip format so for advanced users for now

fastboot oem lock & Elemental Kernel Question

Greetings,

This evening I was able to get the Elemental Kernel installed, and was so excited to see the charge LED working among other nice tweaks. As the last step I performed an fastbook oem lock to wrap up the process and this seems to have decimated the install for some reason.

I don't currently have logs or any details to provide, other than the steps I took:

1) Grabbed the stock ROM from Google.
2) Executed flash-all.bat
3) Let the device boot, but skipped several of the usual setup steps such as activating cell service and re-downloading all my apps.
4) Rebooted the device into the fastboot and executed the lock command.
5) Watched with sadness as things seemed to fall apart... I was constantly taken to the TWRP screen with a bunch of errors and I'm not sure why.

Has anyone else seen this or been able to reproduce this? I'm a big fan of locking after setting everything up plus it removes that little padlock from under the Google logo on the start up screen.

Thanks in advance,
-Eric

N7105 Lost Root After Installing CM12.1 Nightlies and AGNI Kernel

Hi guys I just updated my Note 2 with Cyanogen Mod and the installation of the AGNI kernel.

For some reason now I have lost root.

Strange battery behavior, so i'm searching for a kernel

Here's my problem:
My battery level suddently drop from 50% or 30% to 0% in few seconds.
When i'm in system on (for example) 90% battery, if i go in recovery my battery level is 5%.
I tried a battery calibration program with no results.
My last chanche is to try another kernel but, i can't find one!
I'm searching for a stock kernel with root and recovery for 5.0.1.
Now i'm on rockz1 kernel.
Someone know where to find a stock kernel that i can try without losing root?
Or maybe there is already a solution to this strange battery problem?
Sorry for this noob request.

Question: After flashing a different Kernel baseband become Unknown / No Signal

So i installed a different Kernel, to be specific Healthy Honey on my D802, using Resurrection Remix latest version. But before i was using a different Kernel which is render. when i tried to flash HH, baseband become unknown on About and i can see there's no sim icon on top.

Things i've done
Flashed KK Basedband = Still Not working
Flashed JB Baseband = Still Not working
Flashed both bootloader / bootstack which was working before with render kernel = still not working.
Flashed Render Kernel (which was working before) with both the KK Baseband and Bootloader/Bootstack = Still the Baseband version is unknown.

How can i fix this? Thanks

Compiling a ROM - Replacing Kernel drivers

How do you compile a ROM for a device (in this case the Tab S)?
Do Samsung provide a development kit to developers to allow you to build a ROM?
If yes, do Samsung update those kits, say with newer drivers for their hardware?
