Need stock 12a system image

Hi all,

I need someone to do me favor. When I took the 12a ota, I rooted it with the root injection method. However, I didn't make a backup of my stock unrooted system image. The way it sits now I am permanently rooted. I can't KDZ back to 11a for obvious reasons and when I reset to factory defaults, even through the LG recovery screen, it still keeps root. Since it's possible that big red pulled the 12a ota due to notification issues and such, I will not be able to take any more ota's until a KDZ is released.

So after expanding on that, all I'm asking is for someone with a Verizon variant of the G4 that is on 12a but is NOT rooted to please pull a copy of their stock UNROOTED system image (preferably right after a factory reset) and put it up somewhere for me to grab. That way if another ota comes back, I have a way to get back to stock without having to wait for a KDZ to be released. If someone is willing to do this for me, please post the MD5 so I don't flash a bad download.

Thanks so much in advance.

Rooted 12A Image

[Q] What's the difference between the XT1575 and XT1572 regarding system image?

I live in Germany and will soon receive my style, maybe tomorrow. My question:

There are several issues, that points to different system images of the XT1572 and XT1575. I assumed, that for example the lte channels (= modem) are the only difference, but there are some others, too. In an other thread, an user described a problem with using WiFi correctly, after flashing the system image of the XT1575 on a XT1572.

This would result in different roms, if development will start soon. Is this correct? Does anybody know, what's the real difference of the two devices regarding software/hardware? Are there different WiFi modules? Can you please support me?

I'll wait with rooting my device until I'll get some clearance about this (and maybe until M via OTA arrives).

How to prevent Auto-Reboot after flashing Factory Image?

How can I prevent Auto-Reboot of my Nexus 5 after flashing an Official Factory Image?
I've tried to add

Code:

fastboot reboot-bootloader
ping -n 5 127.0.0.1 >nul

after

Code:

fastboot -w update image-hammerhead-xxxxxx.zip

on
flash-all.bat
but the Nexus reboot anyway.
There is another command or option that could help me, or any other way for that?

Factory image not flashing via TWRP

Hi,

my tf700 refuses to flash the factory images provided by asus. I have installed twrp 2.8.7.0 and 2.8.7.2 by AREA51.

Both give the error: "Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/WW_epad-user-10.6.1.14.10.zip'"

Can anyone help me fix this?

Kindest regards,
Jasper

Roadstar RD9200U - sec_smdkv210 - Can't backup current OS image

Hi,

I am software developer. I have a Roadstar RD9200U car stereo and i want to modify os, apps or develop new apps. I rooted device with z4root but before starting i want to backup currently running os. If i make mistake i want to restore original os. CWM and TWRP are not supported this device and i can't backup current os. How can i get os image and restore? Below is my device info.

There is not a usb connector for PC but two usb hosts. I can connect with adb over wifi. If i push eject and power button while power off i think the device is searching image from sdcard and then power off. ADB backup command is not working it says that "closed".

Thanks,

Make a Debrick Image?

Hey, I'm hardbricked on my tab2 (sch-i705) and so have a few others because of loading this aboot.img at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1942674
I was thinking that someone with a working bootloader could run this script:

Code:

#!/sbin/sh
mkdir -p /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/;
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/Unbrick_Files/200MB.img bs=4096 count=50000;
busybox gzip /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/*;
mv /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/200MB.img.gz /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/Unbrick_IMG.gz;
chmod -R 777 /sdcard/Unbrick_Files

and post the output so we can have an unbrick image here.

How to write stock tar to SD card as image

I'm working on making a tool for the Galaxy S series that will take a stock tar file, emulate a write operation (maybe use Heimdall for this?) that copies everything to an IMG file, then uses DD to write the first GB to an SD card. How can I go about doing this? Do I need to emulate the bootloader of a Samsung phone such that it writes to partitions within a mounted image, or is there a simpler way of doing it?

XT1572 factory recovey image (Firmware)

Hello guys, I would like to Unlock my BL and root my device, but I'm afraid that I will be not be able to update to Android 6 by OTA.
So I was looking for some stock firmware or recovery image, in case I need to lock my BL or get back to stock.
I was thinking about Unlock BL, intall TWRP, do a backup, and than root. And case every thing goes wrong, I would need stock recovery so I can lock my BL again.
My device is Brazilan one 2 SIM, and XT1572.
The only site I founded the firmaware is this one http://www.phonandroid.com/forum/fla...e-t132486.html
and the dowload link is this one: http://www.filefactory.com/file/3jm5...LT_CFC.xml.zip

What do you guys think, should I take the risk?
Thank you!

Facebook app low image resolution?

I noticed recently when viewing images on the Facebook app they are super low resolution (720x479). I previously would upload images directly to Instagram from Facebook but I now find them far too low res to do so. When did Facebook implement this change to the app and is there any way to reverse it or use an older version? Images viewed on the Facebook mobile and desktop sites are full resolution (2048px width) but all images on the app are now shown at a lower resolution. This is with a Verizon Galaxy Note 4 and the same appeared true on my girlfriends T-Mobile Note 4.

Cannot "SAVE IMAGE" in CHROME

Is this how the program operates now? Because I know I could do it before.

Is there a fix?

Youtube App missing in 3.1.1 factory image

Hi,

I reflashed my tablet (LTE RoW) from scratch with the 3.1.1 factory image from Nvidia.
I noticed that the Youtube App is missing after first start and the place on the homescreen where the YT shortcut was before is now empty.

I opened the system.img in the Ext4 Unpacker Tool and can see the YouTube folder with the APK inside in the /app folder of the image.

Why is the App not visible and can anyone confirm that?

Best regards,
Chris

Note 4 Phone Image For Adding Screenshots (Need It)

I am looking for the image of the Note 4 with a blank screen to add my screenshots to...I'm guessing it might be a PSD or AI file?
Can someone point me in the direction to download please?
I used to use MyColorScreen.com but it doesn't support the Note 4 and I've been searching/Googling but I don't think I'm using the correct keywords...I just keep getting links to fix Note 4's with black/blank screens....
Thanks.
