[Q] What's the difference between the XT1575 and XT1572 regarding system image?

I live in Germany and will soon receive my style, maybe tomorrow. My question:

There are several issues, that points to different system images of the XT1572 and XT1575. I assumed, that for example the lte channels (= modem) are the only difference, but there are some others, too. In an other thread, an user described a problem with using WiFi correctly, after flashing the system image of the XT1575 on a XT1572.

This would result in different roms, if development will start soon. Is this correct? Does anybody know, what's the real difference of the two devices regarding software/hardware? Are there different WiFi modules? Can you please support me?

I'll wait with rooting my device until I'll get some clearance about this (and maybe until M via OTA arrives).

What's the newest verizon LG G3 update and is it safe to update?

I don't keep up with all the new releases for the Verizon LG G3 (especially because the last time I updated my galaxy s3 it went from being great to absolutely useless)... so I've adopted the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude for verizon OTA updates. I am still on VS98512B the version that came with the phone when I got it. I believe there has been 2 updates since then. Can anyone tell me if I should update to the most recent or just keep ignoring the pop-up telling me to update please?

What's the best keyboard that automatically pops up?

I've had no luck finding a good keyboard for the Huawei watch. Does anyone know of a good keyboard, preferably only a wear app and which automatically pops up for text entry? This shouldn't be this hard to find.

4G LTE & signal bars disappear about 30 seconds after powering on. What's wrong?

So I bought a Verizon Note 4 (Verizon sim from previous owner installed) and a Gear S from a person off craigslist for 0 total. I have not activated Verizon service yet, only using on WiFi for right now. The phone has been updated to the latest BOG5 firmware from Verizon, so looks like no root for me as well :(... Anyways...

...Is it normal for the phone to show 4G and a signal for about 30 seconds after powering on, then have no signal or LTE? Again, I have not activated the phone on Verizon yet, so keep that in mind.

I have checked the APN, and it seems I can't change or edit the Verizon APN. It is greyed out. It also seems it's incorrect. I'm wondering if this is why I get no signal at all.

Anybody have any ideas? I tried putting my metro PCS sim in it as well, and same result, no signal or LTE icon. Even added the correct APN for metro PCS and still nothing.

I also have a Verizon Samsung S6 Edge Plus that is not activated yet either, with a Verizon sim installed and it shows 4G and signal. Also, I can put my metro PCS in the Edge Plus and it works perfectly, without changing or doing anything.

Anyone have any idea as to why the Note 4 isn't working?

what's the next phone

so I'm looking to upgrade from the s3 and was wondering what the next phone would be? Are people sticking with Samsung devices or has anybody branched out to LG or HT has anybody branched out to LG or HTC?

What's the most stable or bug-free custom ROM?

Is there any ROM that is completely bug-free, or at least doesn't have basic features broken? I've seen lot of threads about custom ROMs where a worrying number people report serious issues. Like no GPS, no deep sleep, severe battery drain, broken modem, etc.

For what it's worth, this is for a rooted E980 20g with CWM 6.0.4.4 that has never had a custom ROM (still has stock Kit Kat 4.4.2). I want something based on Lollipop but I'd settle for Kit Kat if it meant no issues. I'm kind of a noob, so the fact that there are seemingly dozens of custom ROMs has overwhelmed me...

When you switch ROMs, what's the easiest way to restore everything else? Android will restore apps (and their data?) but how do you restore all your shortcuts, folders and such?

There are so many cool ROMs on here to try but it takes me hours to restore everything, I usually just try one and end up keeping it.

I want to learn to root. What's the easiest phone to start with?

I want to learn to root. I bought an unlocked Nexus One to try it on. But thought I'd ask if there's an easier phone to start with? Or is that one good? It's never been used. It's Android version 2.3.6. GSM... I have to phone numbers, Verizon unlimited grandfathered plan with a Samsung s5 & an AT&T Go Phone with a broken HTC One. I don't care which carrier I use & no problem to get another one if that's better. Any ideas? Bill

Any ideas what's in LMY48U for Verizon?

I'm currently on LMY48P but I use mine on Verizon. Any ideas why VZW SIMs get an extra update? I'm debating skipping it.
