Lollipop: no advanced music widget on lockscreen

I have been checking SamMobile for 5 months every day to see when Lollipop comes out for my area. The waiting game is officially over! Really impressed with the smooth GUI and performance (though the battery - 2500 mAh - will definitely not last as much as with KitKat).

One thing that really bugs me: I listen to a lot of music on my phone and the big lockscreen music widget was quite a blessing for me. It had a slider, next/previous track, play/pause, so pretty much everything. Now, Lollipop threw out the whole concept of lockscreen widgets and has only these notifications (which are pretty cool), but the music player notification is trash. Small buttons, no slider etc. I found a neat music player called Star, and it kinda solves the problem, but still no slider.

Did anyone find an acceptable solution to this problem?

Advanced Calling

I did a search, found a few threads in the non-Turbo forums. I've done some research, and some of the data is confusing. As I just got the Droid Turbo a few days ago, thought I'd pose a couple of questions here -

What I do know is voice goes over data network (VoLTE). I assume when in a 3G area, it reverts to CDMA? From the reading I've done, if in a 3G area and move into a 4G area, the call is not dropped. However, going from a 4G area to a 3G area, the call is dropped?

If I have it enabled, does the receiver on the other end have to have Advanced Calling? If not, is there still an advantage to using it?

From other reading, if both ends are on 4G and have Advanced Calling enabled, the sound quality is supposed to perfect. True?

Thx

Advanced Messaging/read report

Me and the wife both have the Note 5 and I'm curious if anyone has had any issues with the advancedetails messaging and read reports. Sometimes it works great then all the sudden stops working until I turn it on/off in the settings and close out the app. Any ideas?

Android - Advanced launcher Error: Cannot create launchers.xml

Hi Guys,

I have been unsuccessfully trying to setup Advanced launcher on my Amazon fire tv running isengard non rooted and need a bit of help as I couldn't find any lead through different forums.

As soon as I create a launcher I get the error: "Cannot create launchers.xml file" ; "cannot do backup"

However I have been able to locate my launchers.xml file and here is what it contain:

Code:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<advanced_launcher version="1.0">

            <roms>
            </roms>
        </launcher>
    </launchers>
</advanced_launcher>

On kodi forums I have been told that maybe I do not have permissions to create/update launchers.xml file with Advanced launcher. I have tried to change permissions through adb shell in chmod but it seems that because I am not rooted, I cannot do that either !

Any Ideas ?

Thanks a lot

No option for Advanced WiFi settings? [N920I]

Hi,

I seem to have no option for Advanced Settings in WiFi.
Clinking more in WiFi gives me:
  • Add network

  • WPS push button

  • WPS PIN entry

  • Smart Network switch

  • Keep WiFi on during sleep

  • Always allow scanning

  • Install network certificates

Can't post image links yet.

Advanced calling workaround

So I called Verizon got a smart tech and told her of my leaked Lollipop and she said it wasn't possible... To have advanced calling.
then I told her of BladeRunner and his thing....then my girlfriends phone droid turbo had advanced calling so she switch my phone number to her SIM to activate it but it already was active I clicked HD video also and took her SIM out put in the Z3V and clicked advanced calling a new prompt came up telling me of a few free features and boom now two people have advanced calling hit the thanks if you call Verizon and can get them to do this for you.
