[Q] anybody else getting constant random Bluetooth disconnects?

I have had this problem before, and once I upgraded my phone to Lollipop, everything was good and the watch was rock solid with the Bluetooth connection. My phone is the Samsung Galaxy Note III running 5.1.1.

As of about a week ago, I started getting random Bluetooth disconnections/reconnections constantly. I use watchmaker and it will buzz on disconnect and buzz again almost immediately on reconnection.

I have been using LeeDroid ROM v3.1 on my watch, and IntersectRaven's kernels. Those have not changed since this started.

This is driving me crazy. I have fastboot formatted the cache, system, and userdata and reinstalled LeeDroid's Rom and IntersectRaven's kernels.

Has anybody else had this happen to them?

As a result of constant disconnection/reconnections, my battery life has been horrible.

Any assistance appreciated!

Cheers,
B.D.

Android Pay - anyone else having issues?

Wallet seemed to be more reliable before the app was split up

If I have the phone already unlocked, it doesn't seem to ever want to pick up the scan. Do I have to lock it to get it to work?

Screen brightness uneven -- anyone else?

Folks,

Got a question for you -- as per the title. To give you a little background, I bought an S2 8.0, loved it, and then decided that I really ought to replace my existing "data plan" tablet from the S 8.4 to the S2 9.7. So, good-bye to the S2 8.0, and I've got a new S2 9.7 LTE.

All is well, EXCEPT for some screen oddness. I'll have to post some pictures, but I think I can describe it well enough. To begin with, I don't really like "busy" wallpaper -- I just use a solid-color, medium-to-dark blue wallpaper as my background. What I really notice, both in portrait and landscape orientation, is a darker band at the top of the screen -- again, it happens in both portrait and landscape orientation. It seems to be a "viewing angle" thing, as the dark "top" in landscape orientation doesn't turn into a dark "side" in portrait orientation. Instead, when I move to portrait orientation, then the top of the screen has this dark band, and the sides are just fine.

But I don't notice quite the same thing happening when I get into some apps -- for instance, the yellow/orange top band in the "Memo" application doesn't turn noticeably darker. But the green top band in the "Evernote" application shows it IN SPADES, though it's a really thin band at the very edge of the screen. And, again, it's always at the top, no matter which orientation I'm in, that I see the dark band.

Anyway, that's the most obvious stuff. However, when you back up and take the whole screen in view, what I'm really seeing is A LOT OF COLOR CHANGE as I angle the tablet towards me (more vertical) and away from me (more horizontal). Again, just go into the Memo application, and lay your tablet flat on a table, then grab it and tilt it up towards you -- do you get a big change in color, or does it stay the same? I guess I would say that the "white" color "turns bluish" as I raise the tablet towards me (making it more vertical), and it goes more to a normal white when I lay it flat.

I can understand changes in screen quality due to viewing angles, but that's not something that I associate with OLED screens. I sure didn't see anything like this at all with the S2 8.0 that I had. And I've started looking at S2 9.7 tablets in stores, and I really haven't seen anything like it in the stores. Thus, I'm definitely thinking about returning the thing -- unless it's really a case of "they all do it."

So, if you guys could check out your tablets and let me know if you see anything like this, I would appreciate it. It's not worth taking the thing back and asking for an exchange if what I'm seeing is common, but I'm definitely a bit disappointed in the screen quality that I've got with this tablet.

Thanks in advance for checking this out for me, and for any thoughts you'd like to send my way!

can anybody else confirm that calendar sync isn't working on current 6.0 roms?

every time i open up the calendar app, it goes through the initial setup. when i get to the calendar, nothing is displayed. i can't choose which calendars to show. going to settings > accounts >google doesn't let me choose whether to sync calendar or not (it seems everything else is there).

Anyone else noticed the XDA Premium app is currently free on Google Play?

As the subject indicates, XDA Premium is currently showing a price of FREE where it was previously .49. I couldn't find any sort of announcement and have no idea if it will STAY free.

Anyone else have a sticky power button?

Seems if I don't press it for a while, it is kind of "crunchy" at first press but is fine when pressing it again repeatedly. It doesn't get stuck when depressed, but more like its a little stuck before pressing and is kinda rough that first initial push. Kinda hard to explain. Not a huge issue. Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this.

When you switch ROMs, what's the easiest way to restore everything else?

When you switch ROMs, what's the easiest way to restore everything else? Android will restore apps (and their data?) but how do you restore all your shortcuts, folders and such?

There are so many cool ROMs on here to try but it takes me hours to restore everything, I usually just try one and end up keeping it.

Anyone else interested in the white?

Is it just me or do you guys think the white will go better with other straps compared to the black? Does anyone know when we should expect them in the stores?

My vibration motor sounds like a jackhammer.... anyone else?

Hi people. I noticed people were pretty unhappy with the OPO vibrator (I never had one). The first thing that I noticed when I used the OPT was the terrible sounding vibration motor. It is loud and it sounds like a cheap bullsh*t phone. Does anyone else experience this or is only my model?

Is there any way to compare mine to other models? Maybe someone wants to share a sound recording or something, so we can start to compare :)

Anyone else order both 6P & 5X to compare?

I ordered a 5X last week because I use my phone one-handed to often to go for a phablet. But once I realized that it's only effectively more for the 32GB 6P ( - USB-A-to-C extra cable), I caved and ordered a 6P, too. Now I have to decide if I cancel the 5X, or just let both be delivered and try them both out for myself. The only 'risk' to that is the 5X comes a week before the 6P, which wouldn't give me much time to compare. I'm sure on launch day the 5X will be great, but I worry about future-proofing; what good is a Nexus device if Android N or O are resource hogs and 2GB of RAM doesn't cut it in two years? I have become accustomed to long-term ownership of phones; I have been on an HTC Rezound since 2012.

Anyone else have multiple phones on order?

Any way to change this grey color to something else using xposed modules?

Hey guys,

This is my first post here. I need a little help from you guys.

I have rooted my phone and have installed Xposed framework and a handful of modules.

Is there any way to change the grey color(see the pic) to something else using xposed modules?

Anyone else a ZNAPS USB-C connector backer?

I have a feeling I might be one of the few that actually went with this option, but when I backed them, I ended up switching to the USB-C connector they added. Figured I would go for it based off all the Nexus/USB-C rumors, future-proof it. I'm just a little bummed I will have to wait till March at the earliest for it =(.

Note 5 Bluetooth Issues...Anyone Else?

I've had the Note 5 for about three weeks or so and I absolutely love it. Right around the 28th of September I received the small OTA update that activated samsung pay and had some other small fixes. Since that time I've had horrible bluetooth issues. Constantly disconnecting from my Gear Live, disconnecting from my headphones, and unable to discover or pair to my car stereo. Prior to this update I had no issues at all.

Is anyone else experiencing this or do I just have a bad device that needs to be replaced?
