Removing MIUI7? can it be done - how?

Hi,

I have placed my order for the Xiamo Redmi Note 2.
Not 100% sure about the MIUI 7.0.

Has anyone got rid of MIUI and just used it as a stock android.

If so what has the experience been like and whats is the best way to do this?

Apologies if this has been spoken about 100 times before , if you could direct me to the correct thread I will have a read.

Thanks

Help with removing retail mode from Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport (Sprint)

Recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5 and noticed its in retail mode. I have been trying for hours trying to see if their is a way to remove it. tried reinstalling OS using odin but it just goes back to the same thing after reboot. Has anyone else fixed this issue and mind helping me go through the steps as to what to do to remove the retail mode.

I have also tried that whole retail mode app and putting in password 5444 and still didnt work. Hopefully someone can help me! TIA!

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Was looking as to where i can go for this but couldnt find anywhere else where this would fit

Removing carrier "home" on rooted Samasung S4mini on straight talk

I have a new (to me) Samsung S4 mini, SGH-I257 on Straight Talk. I've successfully rooted it using kingroot, and have the xposed framework installed. On many Straight Talk devices, the carrier listed in the notification bar reads "HOME". I've tried several xposed modules that claim they can remove/edit the carrier text, but I've been unsuccessful. I can change the carrier text on the lock screen, but I can't seem to remove or change the "HOME" on the notification bar. Can anyone help? :)

Removing Lock Screen Ads without Root

How to get rid of the Lock Screen Ads:
Go in to ADB on your computer and connect your Fire 2015

Code:

adb shell
pm hide com.amazon.kindle.kso
exit
adb reboot

It is working for me, then use:
https://kindlecooltricks.wordpress.c...thout-rooting/
Download that, install it, and select a 600 by 1024 Image for your wallpaper, it will set it to both the main wallpaper and the Lock Screen one.
