Boots always into fastboot after very long boot-time

He guys,

I can't start my T-Mobil branded Htc one sv (unmodified, everything stock and locked)

Every time I power on the phone there is a very very long boot time (up to 3min) and after this I'm in the bootloader.
Also fastboot commands with direct reboot into bootloader or fastboot leads to the full boot-time like I would do a normal boot.

HTC-Screen -> HTC-Screen with Beats by Dr.Dre -> T-Mobile-Screen -> bootloader

All resets are pointless.
If I enter recovery I can see the blackscreen with the icon in the middle, but there is no menu with options.

I can't unlock the bootloader. If I use the official unlock file I can enter the unlock-menu but if I select "yes" it starts the long boot-phase which ends in a still locked bootloader.

So I'm unable to install anything.

In recovery is also no adb available.

I tried to install a RUU but this always fails because the reboot directly into fastboot doesn't work (So this is my explanation)

So I have no idea what I can do. I think it's a hardware damage but I'm not sure how to check this.

Any ideas if I can do anything or should I just say goodbye ;)

Thanks for your help
Julian

Is there anyway to long press back button to kill app without root?

I like this feature but the Barclays banking app force closes on my rooted 5.1.1 with xposed.
So I need to unroot and uninstall xposed for this app to work .:mad:

Long boot fix for CyanogenMod

I think that i have found the cause of 5 minute boot time on CyanogenMod that is discussed in official CM thread in development forum. Unfortunately i can not post there, so i will post here in hope that someone notices and reposts into that thread.

The loop is caused by this line of code:

https ://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_system_core/blob/cm-12.1/init/devices.c#L1081

I guess that this code tries to wait for /system to be mounted. It checks if it's mounted by checking whether /system/etc/firmware exists. That directory simply does not exist in flounder's system image. I am not sure whether the condition is wrong, or the directory should actually exist or some firmware file the system is searching for is missing.

Doing this

Code:

touch /system/etc/firmware

fixes the long boot and ANR dialog on boot up. Also you can put this

Code:

#!/sbin/sh

. /tmp/backuptool.functions

if [ "" == "restore" -a ! -e "$S/etc/firmware" ]; then
    touch "$S/etc/firmware"
fi

into /system/addon.d/50-long-boot-fix.sh and make it executable to make the fix persistent across system updates. Or, better, notify someone who can actually fix this.

Nexus 6P Frost out of stock. How long to wait?

Hello.
Looks like Nexus 6P color frost is currently out of stock.
Do you think they will be able to buy again before the 25th of oct. ? (Last day of the PlayStore/PlayMusic offer).

Huawei doesn't have the frost version so there's no more options.

How long does it take to get 5.1.1 OTA?

AT&T released 5.1.1 a couple of weeks ago, and I still haven't gotten a notification on my phone that the OTA update is ready to be installed. I check manually every day, too, but every time it says that the "update was interrupted" and I have to wait 24 hours. Is that because the server is busy and I'll just have to wait patiently as the update is being rolled out to AT&T phones over the air? (Yes, I know I can simply move the date forward one day and try again manually, but I don't want to inadvertently mess up the automatic OTA checks.)
I would really like to install 5.1.1 on my S6. Is there a way to speed things up? Is there an official AT&T image I can install through Kies or some other way?

Thanks!
