QuickBoot AntiTheft [in Development]

QuickBoot AntiTheft

QuickBoot is a Cyanogen OS feature forOnePlue One but also can work with other devices with Cynogen Roms
The Feature is redusing the boot-up time by altering the shutdown and putting the device in a SleepMode, it also boot up back when its time to Alarm Clock.

Quickboot disables wifi, cellular and killing all the apps beside the clock app for the alarm clock then shuts down the screen.

My Oneplus One device stolen and I counld not find it because some thief shut it down :(

The idea for the AntiTheft or Lost is to keep the 3G/4G & GPS working with Android Device manager or anti theft apps when in SleepMode.
AntiTheft will help when the thief is shutting down the device but its going to sleep mode and give more time to locate the device by the local authorities

I Decompiled the Quickboot App and made & added the changes in the java code but I can't Recompile it back
if Developers can help it will be awesome :)

I decompiled the universal apk that can work with other devices with cm12.0/1 thanks to arter97

Flashing Non Verizon Roms (i.e., from unified development roms), possible?

Hi Guys:

I don't want any Verizon related software on my phone, since I am using a different SIM. Am I restricted to flashing only the roms located in this forum for my S5? Or can I flash any of the Cyanogen or unified roms to my phone?

[Development] Wanna Team Up?

Bla Bla:

I have recently bought this device. The hardware seems to be all nice but software, not so good. There are tons of improvements that need to be done on the software end. I have been waiting for someone else to take an initiative up until now, but it seems everyone else has been doing the same thing and as the device is new int he market, the XDA Threads have been practically dead and they are going to stay like that if noone starts working. So, lets tickle this lady.

What We Need:

Its obvious, but I will state that anyway.

Root and Recovery
  • Locked Bootloader

  • Unlocked Bootloader

Kernel
  • Repacked (With Custom Ramdisk including Recovery, Disable RIC, Insecure ADB, A few Tweaks, etc.)

  • Compiled (Need sources for that, so lets put this on hold for now)

ROM
Progress:

Obviously, it must be a Top to Bottom approach, but I am an idiot, so, I am following Bottom to Top, actually because thats my forte and I need help with others.

Root and Recovery
  • Locked

  • Unlocked

Kernel
  • Repacked

  • Compiled

ROM
  • Stock (Done)

  • Custom (Halfway Done)

So, folks lets join hands together and start this thing. I welcome all Developers, Beginners, Contributors, Reviewers, Haters, Bullies, Killers, simply anyone and everyone who is willing to help.

Noob to Android - advice needed to buy device for development.

Have done some basic android app development using someone else's device to test. I am working on my personal app for which I need a device to test as my app is based on sensors and gps. I wouldn't be charging money for my app (so no earnings at my end) and I am kind of short on budget too as have to buy some an Apple device to test the app for iOS and then the developers account for both to publish the apps.

Question - Usually how many OS upgrades does Android allow? If I can get some device within 0 that would be best else I was thinking something around 0. I came across some used devices on Swappa and a LG G2 deal within 0, but those devices were released around August 2013 with Kitkat version of OS. Any other options to buy cheap android device just for development?

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but my app development is on hold just because I don't have a device to test. Thanks in advance!! :)
