Right, this is s strange one. Over the past few years of installing ROM's I have noticed that if I say clean install a ROM, set it up, back it up using TWRP or CWM, fully wipe the device and restore that back-up, I get quite noticeably better battery vs staying on the first installation of the ROM. In case you don't get what I mean:
1) Clean install ROM and back-up that install, use original install for a few days, weeks, months whatever.
2) Wipe device and restore the previously created back-up.
3) Notice a large boost in battery.
This may seem insane, but I have noticed it on multiple occasions and I have no idea why it happens or how it makes any sense haha!
I never thought of it when using my G3, but with my Galaxy Note and One Plus One, it is a thing. I was only getting 3 odd hours of SOT on my OPO on COS12.1. Now after full wipe and restoring that exact same ROM (back-up made 3 days ago) I am at 2 odd hours SOT with 73% battery left...definitely a difference. I have dropped the brightness a bit vs before, but any other time I did this is made little to no change in battery.
Anyway, that is my odd theory, any input is welcome, call me insane, agree with me I don't know, but hey, it's worth a try!
