Soft-bricked D820n a51_ul after upgrading just firmware from OTA

Hello,
i have single sim d820 (europe)

Code:

***************************
Software status: Modified
A51_UL PVT SHIP S-ON
hboot-3.19.0.0000
radio-01.01.010_U10305041_08.01.50512
os-2.10.401.2
***************************

Before i messed it up it was unlocked and rooted and S-ON, then i wanted to install OTA and i flashed firmware.zip extracted from OTA zip file (bad idea). Now i'm unable to get my phone working...
What i can do:
-enter bootloader
-fastboot commands
-enter recovery

What I've tried and didn't work:
-flash stock recovery, lock, flash RUUk44.zip via fastboot (signature verify fail)
-flash stock recovery, lock, flash lollipop OTA (signature verify fail)
-flash TWRP, restore k44 backup (bootloop after reboot from recovery)

The question is, if I would somehow obtain firmware from k44 stock, is it possible to downgrade on S-ON using "fastboot flash zip" and then restore backup or flash RUU?
I cannot find magical RUU.exe for this model there are only zip files...
Guys maybe someone can dump kitkat firmware i would be grateful...
I appreciate any idea, please help me solve it :(

[APP]Free AppLock to protect privacy after upgrading to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Curious about how Applock works on Android 6.0 Marshmallow?
Check out on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....privacyknight
or download directly from: Attachment 3503951
Support Android 6.0

Google took to the stage to announce Android 6.0 Marshmallow, at a special event on September 29, where we were also given a look at the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. The final version of Android Marshmallow comes after three developer preview releases to iron out bugs.

Whenever a new Android OS version comes alive, compatibility issue comes after. Since Android M, android app permissions have been overhauled. Individual permission can be accepted or denied on the fly instead of just before the installation.

Stricter App permission is a big challenge for all App locks, but fortunately, Privacy Knight-Free AppLock by ALibaba has become the first free applock fully compatible with Android Marshmallow.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Android is upgrading- trigger?

So im using the nexus 5 for like a year and my power button became problematic, pressing itself sometimes, ordered a new button.
And im going to replace it, untill then, i downloaded third party apps to use the nexus without having to press the power button.

My question for you guys or experts, is what trigger makes my phone sometimes (after pressing the button which makes reboot) to go into the "android is upgrading optimising apps", and if it is a manual trigger with the power button, is it possible to turn it off?

Thanks in advance

Wi-Fi issue since upgrading to marshmallow

I use my lg g3 as my wireless hotspot and since updating my nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi edition to marshmallow it will connect but not have internet access any other devices I connect have internet. If I reboot both devices and connect I'll get internet for a few minutes but then I lose it again. I've tried a factory days reset and a few other things
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Rob

[Q] Can't set lockscreen password after upgrading to Marshmallow

I upgraded to Marshmallow, specifically Bad Boyz Nexus Stock Rooted, and everything is working fine, but when I try to set it to something, it freezes up settings. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

Frequent freezes/reboots after upgrading Spice Dream Uno H to Marshmallow

Hi everyone,

I upgraded my phone to 6.0 this morning, and have been facing issues ever since. The phone keeps freezing or rebooting at will. When I first tried to format my SD card (a class 10 Strontium Nitro 32GB purchased 2 months back) as internal storage for the first time, it got stuck for a long time and I had to do a factory reset and format again. After that, I moved all possible apps to the SD card, but every time I try to access a few of these apps (official Twitter, Truedialer, AdSense, etc) the entire phone will freeze for about a minute and then reboot for a very long time (over 5 minutes). I am terrified of opening any app on the SD card right now because it might trigger the reboot again.

Is anyone else facing similar issues on their Android Ones?

The battery life has also seemingly degraded, and once the phone completely shut down because the battery suddenly went from 40% to 0%.

After last year's Lollipop debacle and now this, I am really disappointed with Google's quality assurance. Marshmallow was supposed to be all about stability.

Some inquiries regarding upgrading firmware

Edit: after thinking about it, just realised that I could have posted this in the main thread of the rom mentioned here... Silly me... Thread move?

Hi everyone

I've recently purchased an Xperia L for my wife, currently running stock rom 15.3.A.1.17 (again), unrooted
I really want to update it to something newer, and looking at the rom list, it's hard to figure out which will be appropriate.
Unfortunately, I'm also not well versed in these sort of things (had my small share of trail and errors though)

Inquiry 1
My main concern is that I want to use the Sony UI. I tried BlissPop but it just didn't do it for me, I simply like the Sony UI and the things that the Sony comes with (particular the camera app)
And though I know I can probably install a lot of those things afterwards, I do also have a lot of Sony products, thus having it all from the get-go is much more convenient than trying to get it all back on

So what I found from the rom list was PrimeXperia - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...icial-t3103905
I want to know if there are any other firmwares out there using the Sony UI or not, just for comparisons.

Inquiry 2
Let's say that there's only PrimeXperia, looking at the installation instructions, I see that it uses a recovery menu.
Now, my Xperia L is currently unrooted (and I haven't found a way to root it without having to use vRoot yet (don't want that on my phone)), is it possible to still flash a recovery menu unto the phone?

I have flashtools, and I have tried flashing TWRP (and a Cyanmod one at one point) using Fastboot, and it seemed to run even without rooting my phone first, will it actually function correctly or will the lack of root cause problems?

So my concern is, without having to root my phone, can I use Fastboot mode on Flashtools to flash a recovery menu onto my phone? Which of course, if I can, now I need to find PhilZ Touch Recovery to do so.

Inquiry 3
In the instructions, it says to Wipe Cache Partition and Dalvik/ART Cache, will this wipe data, settings, apps, etc also? Or does it only wipe the system stuff so that when I install the new firmware, it'll simply operate as normal with my apps and stuff still on?

Reason I ask this is because I remember something (from a long time ago) about only wiping/flashing certain things to ensure that user related things are still intact - just want to make sure

Inquiry 4
And just to make sure I know what I'm doing, as per instructions, I'm still within the recovery menu where I select the rom (zip file) and choose to install it, right?

Inquiry 5 - last one
Finally, it says that users reported wifi to not work and the solution was to flash ThunderZap, where is that? Is that within the download link (currently not home so unable to check)?

Sorry for the hassle and thank you for the help in advance :)

Upgrading from note 2! This or s6 or lg v10?

I can't decide. I like s6 for the size, speed and the ir blaster. S6 edge for its looks.. Note 5 for.. being note... and lg v10 for the removable battery, sd card and it blaster, but its ugly..
I love the note 2 esp for the battery
Which phone should I go with?

Problem after upgrading to cyanogenmod 12

I rooted my samsung grand i9082 with kingroot and uninstalled few system apps. Used my mobile for approx. 1 year without any problem. Yesterday I flashed my mobile to upgrade it to cyanogenmod 12 with the help of twrp. Installed gapps too. Everything went fine but now getting a response continuously on screen like, hangouts stopped working, youtube stopped working, google play services stopped working, Any how I disabled the same in app manager. I have the latest version of google play store and play services. Same downloaded from other sources and installed but same response of not opening of same. I am unable to open google play store-getting response Check your connection and try again. Even other apps are also giving same response after opening like when I open My airtel app, it opens and says stopped working and app shuts down. I am having good internet connectivity. Trying to boot into recovery mode but again and again I m seeing my samsung name and model number as it comes during welcome time as long as I keep pressing the recovery mode combination keys. Now i had lost my all google contacts too and when I am making a call, a warning appears on screen during calling saying- twrp coordinator not working. please help as now I am unable to use any of my app.

Keyboard issue after upgrading

The letters on my keyboard are kinda small to the point where I can barely make out the letters on it. How do I make the characters bigger.
