[Q] Walmart Cricket Moto E on ATT (aka Broke Moto X, need a cheap replacement)

Hello,

Pardon my ignorance, but I was wondering if any one had any advice or understanding if it would be possible to purchase the Moto-E at Walmart and use it on regular ATT plan that I already have?

The long story is I broke my Moto-X and need a cheap replacement immediately in order to avoid any potential issues with work. Any insight would be great!

[Q] Any experiences with bad replacement screen/digitizer draining your battery?

I've recently changed my cracked screen (to an authorized LG service center) and right after that my battery started behaving strangely. At this point I'll be lucky if the battery lasts for 2 or 3 hours.

I was about to change the battery too, but then I remember reading in a review for a Nexus 5 aftermarket screen/digitizer (before deciding to go to an authorized center I was thinking about changing the screen myself) that a user had bought one and after that his battery drain was getting worse day by day.

I can't seem to find that review anymore, but that behavior is very similar to my phone.

Do you think it's possible a low quality replacement screen can ruin your battery? Did anyone have an similar experience?

I'm just trying to figure out if something went wrong when the service changed my screen, or it was just a coincidence.

Groove IP replacement?

Used to use this for getting calls on my phone, this no longer works. Google disabled it. Any free alternatives for getting huge battery savings and great reception on wifi in my house where I have poor reception? Grooveip would take a number calling my number from AT&T and forward it to my google voice number.

Third N910T replacement; something stealing app focus

I'm about to receive my third warranty replacement for the numerous problems I had with my Note4. Most of the problems are fixable (camera, GPS, etc), but one problem is bad and I don't see a simple solution.

Something seems to be intermittently stealing the focus from my app (I believe). So, if I'm watching YouTube, it randomly pauses because it thinks I've switched apps. If I'm recording video, it randomly stops, because it thinks I've switched apps. If I'm playing a video game, it pauses while I'm playing until 'I return'. If I go to the app-switcher, sometimes it closes randomly before I select which running app to switch to.

I actually bought a new SD card (64GB wasn't really doing it for me, anymore, anyways) but the problem persists. The phone does seem better behaved before all my apps repopulate (although there's not much to do on the phone before the apps are back), so I suspect it's an app, but I haven't heard anything about this sort of problem on any website or forum.

Lastly, the problem may have started around the time of the StageFright patch in August, but a lot of apps also updated around that time.

I'm stock without root (maybe in the future), although I always disable T-Mobile bloatware like DT_Ignite. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

S-pen replacement and calibration

This is a two part question.

Firstly does anyone know if there is a way to calibrate the s-pen. Mine seems ever so slightly off when writing as I would with a normal pen (on a slight angle).
I also have the bamboo feel but that is even worse (around 2-3 mm off).

Next question is are there any other s-pen out that like the bamboo feel? I like the bigger size of it as it's more comfortable for writing with but accuracy seems to be the issue with some third part pens. I'm surprised there issue nothing from Samsung already for the note 5. I understand there are the pen holder or the bt pen but those are for older devices so I'm not sure how accurate they are or compatible.

Recommendation: Display Replacement

I need to replace my display (incl or excl touch) for my Redmi 1S. (A liquid came into the phone, and the back of the display is not showing white areas although it is completely dry).
Does somebody has a recommendation where to order a new display. On Aliexpress i found a lot of offers, but i am unsure if these are IPS displays. I asked some suppliers, but did not get a definitive answer. ;)
Thanks for your help!
