need help with rom install requirements and opinions.. (helpful ones)

i loved the battery life of this rom, well really i just loved this rom... http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2567499 now when trying to install i get bootloops..its mj4 so is there a way i can go back to mj4?..on stock oc5 rooted/twrp recovery.. also does anybody recommend or know of a stripped down efficient rom like minimus that will work when on oc5?? thanks in advance.

i was told by a user to just flash mj4 and then flash rom, but i was told by a friend never to downgrade bootloader or modem as it would brick my n3. so now i guess im looking for direction...im on oc5 lollipop and want to flash above linked rom . has anybody done this successfully, i mean go from oc5 lollipop to mj4 minimus? thanks in advance for any helpful posts.

Vzw Note 4 requirements for the Gear VR?

I have been thinking about buying the Gear VR for my Note 4. I figure I'd ask what the requirements for it are before buying it? Do I need a certain base to use it? I am on the Vzw NI1 stock unrooted retail version. If there is anything else I should know before purchasing one, please let me know. Thank you.

Android 6.0 Kernel root requirements.

Have a feeling I will figure this out before answered and probably some snide smartest person in the room syndrome remarks but could help save me and some others time so going to bite the bullet and ask anyway. With Android 6.0 what makes some Kernels compatible for root and others not. Have read some tidbits in otherwise unreliable sources it has to do with Selinux being set for permissive mode. If true is this in the Kernel or can it be set in the Ramdisk? Link to a commit would be extremely helpful.

Otherwise have 3 builds going now. If correct pretty sure one of the 3 will work but confirmation makes me feel better.
