Desire X Partitions

Hello

I am not a newbie user of your forums but it's my first thread. Usually I am a read-only user. I have to congratulate to all the people that makes this site a wonderful place :victory:

I have a question for the Oracle... :confused:

I wonder if there's any possibility of modifying partition's table of Desire X by removing the unused (at least for me) 1gb internal SD partition to increase ext partition and so the space for apps

May be I am trying to reinvent the wheel, I don't know... :p

Moto G Partitions: Which one does what?

Hi guys!

Coming from an aged S3 Mini, I am totally happy with my Moto G 4G so far. One thing intrigued me, though: TWRP displays a few more partitions that I'm used to, and when doing nandroid backups, a few of the XT1039's partitions remain unchecked. Can someone explain to me which one does what? (Also, please excuse me if the question has been asked before, I did use the search function):

Cache
System
Boot
PDS
utags
persist
NON-HLOS
modemst1
modemst2
fsg
fsc
sp
cid

The red and bold ones are unknown to me, although I've wiped modemst1 and modemst2 via fastboot to solve a GPS issue. Do I only need to backup and restore the checked ones (Data, System and Boot) when I need to?

/data partition

Also called userdata, the data partition contains the user’s data – this is where your contacts, messages, settings and apps that you have installed go. Wiping this partition essentially performs a factory reset on your device, restoring it to the way it was when you first booted it, or the way it was after the last official or custom ROM installation. When you perform a wipe data/factory reset from recovery, it is this partition that you are wiping.

First check your partitions like they are with any app for that from Google Play, for example https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...kinfo&hl=pt_PT , than check after the change.

It need TWRP recovery to flash the zips.

1º extract the zips from the main zip to external sd card
2º flash the zip Update-resize to increase 1GB to /data partition.
3º boot the phone and ingnore the settings
4º turn off and flash the zip with default recovery (L-default_recovery.zip)
5º boot in to recovery (the default recovery) and do a factory reset
6º done!

This increase 1024MB = 1GB in user data for apps, etc and decrease it in sdcard0.

I say L model because i think all L model have the same size for storage, i only test in L11, but i think it works in L22 and L33, if any one whant ot test please let a post.

to go back to default, follow the the steps above but with Update_orig-G6-L11.zip, i dont test with L22, L33 models but the have the same partitions if any one try it let a post.
