Annoying camera and wifi problems with p8000

I got this phone a few days ago and it would be good if it didn’t have 3 annoying problems which are disconnects from wifi (plus it won't reconnect), camera won't open (it says the gallery has stopped working) and google now searches come up blank, the only way to fix these is to reboot the phone and I have to do this 3 times a day, is this a rom problem or a problem with the phone itself? I have the default rom which came rooted

P8000 and North American Bands

Anyone know if there's any chance of getting (activating) other bands on this phone?
I'm in Canada using Videotron. If I set the phone to 4G, I am able to send and receive text messages, make phone calls but mysteriously cannot make calls.
If I set the phone to 3G, nothing works. If I set it to 2G, I can send and receive messages, make calls and receive calls but my data is slower than my 1982 1200 baud modem!! ;)

Anyone have any insight on this?

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to alter what is shown in case window. It shows unread text messages but I really only use what's app so would prefer to see that. Thanks, Hebs.

Unbricking P8000

Hi folks,

Dead P8000 on my hands here, botched recovery flash, not even sure what happened there.
MTK phones are famous for being unbrickable but this case is a bit beyond me...

1. Phone is still detectable over USB on Windows, which is nice.
2. After pressing Download on SP Flash Tool, I connect the phone to the cable, but nothing happens.
3. This machine was previously able to flash the same phone without problems.

I've used SP Flash Tool to revive many phones before so I'm not exactly a noob with it but there's probably some hidden combination somewhere which I don't already know.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Elephone P8000 on AT&T

Has anyone been able to get data on AT&T USA, I just got this phone today and flashed Eragon already but I don't get any data, I input the correct APN settings and tried both sim card slots but still nothing. I took a look at the engineering menu but i'm not very familiar with it since it's the first time i've owned one of these phones. Does anyone know a way to get any sort of data on AT&T USA calls and texts seem to work fine so far I know 4G isn't possible but I read that 2G maybe even 3G is but I have had no luck. anybody have any info on this?
