Face unlock, front facing camera crash

Stock N5, running Marshmellow, rooted using Chainfires modified boot.img.

Able to set up face unlock. Seems to work. Front facing camera works fine as well. However a few days later I try to use front facing camera, it locks up, including trying to change face with face unlock. I turn face unlock off and front facing camera is back again.

Anyone else had similar problems?

Nexus 6P front bezels symmetric?

Many of us have been following the release of this phone very closely and most hardware questions have been answered by now but what about the front aesthetics? Are the placement of the speakers and size of bezels symmetric in design on top and bottom? After viewing photos and the hands-on videos on YouTube, I'm still unable to 100% discern the differences in the top and bottom bezels. I'm sure this probably isn't much of a big deal to most people (excluding myself) but I'm curious to know.

It's just one of those things that bothered me about my Nexus 6 and the new Moto X Pure Edition. There are probably also very good reasons as to why the bezel designs on those two phones aren't symmetric but then again, is it really that difficult to keep symmetry? I've got mine preordered and am keeping it regardless but it would bother me little. What are your thoughts and does someone have an answer?

Help with front camera.

So, my photos with front camera look like this: imgur.com/loklojF

I have already Wiped cache and deleted PixelMaster app data. Don't know what to do.

Purple line in 2/5 from front from left to right.

After 2 min. play game I found few days ago purple line, after 3-4 minuts it´s gone again. As I understand then it comes with temperature adn leave when temp get lower. Phone rooted. So my phone seems to move to repair? Was that phone what was in market in showcase and as I understut then it was that first phone what arreived to tah shop. Always have in silicone/plastic armory case.

So... How about them front facing stereo speakers?

I see tons of threads on a ton of topics, everyone interested in fast charging, fast updates, fingerprints, Type C USB ports, but is anyone add excited as me to have some front facing stereo speakers?

After playing with an HTC One a few years ago I've wanted a phone with them so bad, but couldn't go back to HTC after the Rezound.

Imagine, no more cupping your hands around one side or the other to try to make the sound come to the front. Stereo sound instead of in mumbled mono mess out of one speaker.

Come on, somebody else has to be excited about this right?

Has anyone seen any hands on where they talk about the stereo speakers yet?

[TUT] Get rid of the Dust in Front Camera

Hi, everyone. This time I'm gonna show you how to dismantling your Redmi Note 2 and how to avoid letting dust in the front camera.

First, these are the tools you need:

Quote:

1. Your RN2
2. Scissors
3. Double-sided tape
4. Foam rubber tape (Optional)
5. Alcohol
6. Tiny Screwdriver
7. Glasses cloth
8. Fingernail
9. Patient

tools

Let get started!
First, screw up "12" tiny screws, two of it has stickers on it. I don't even want to send back China to repair it, so don't worry about the stickers.

screws

now, you have to use your nail stick into the left corner of the phone, then follow the slit between main-board base and main-board cover.
You should slit the left side till the "volume - " button and stop here.
Now, stick into the first place and start to slit right, you'll meet right down corner, then keep on.
Keeps slit to the right up corner near the screw hole than stop here.
Here's the most difficult part, you should carefully hold both side of the cover and slowly pull up them by your prefer hand.
The other hand, again use your nail to slit into it, this would be hard, so be patient and carefully, or you'll brake your main-board cover into two piece :D

main-board

After you finish previous step, it is getting easy now.

camrea module

What I point out is the front camera module, carefully pick it up with your nail , you can clean the dust now ;)
Be very carefully that don't bend the cable or you'll screw all up :silly:
Use whatever you like to clean up the space between camera and glass.
Now, times to seal it up!

Use the double-side tape to stick on the back of the front camera module
First, cut it to fit the size of camera and stick on it one by one. Don't forget to remove both of the sticker.
I use 4 piece of the tape. Remember, don't remove the last sticker of the tape!
After that, you can put back your camera module.

Now, you can put back your main-board cover and try to boot your device, if it boot up and nothing hurt, then you are free to go :good:

All the pics took by my old Lenovo A820 :D
