A couple of Z5 videos...

Found 'em on Youtube. First is a guy holding the Z5 while riding a bike (LOL). Second one is a comparison of videos taken with the Z3c and the Z5c. Can't wait to see more action vids.

switched from G4 miss a couple of features

1. I use quick pic as my galary app. When I open a media I would like for it to not default to which app to open but ask me every time. Ie. I may want to open a video in the Samsung video player if I'm at work and use the small window but if I'm at home I want to use a different app to share with chrome cast
2. Issue is the front camera screen flash and ability
3. Is the button lay out on the LG phones.
The latter two or just gig to take some getting use to but the 1st might make me switch to the V10 even though don't think I want a screen that big.

Does anyone have a solution I am the first to admit this may be a user error

A couple of questions about flashing

I flashed my phone first with stock 2.3.6 ROM using Odin 1.85 (with re-partition). Now I'd like to install CM11.

The problem is that CM11 requires CWM 6.0.4.5 and all CF-root kernels come with CWM 3.0.x.x. Is there any way I can root stock ROM with Odin and get the latest CWM immediately?

The way I came around this problem was to first root it with CF-Root-XX_OXA_JW4-v4.4-CWM3RFS, then install stable CM 10.2.1 which comes with the right version of CWM, then data wipe/factory reset + cache wipe, then installed CM11. Next came gapps, Semaphore 3.4.3s and KK44_BigMem_18-nov-13.

I'm thinking that something could have gone wrong because the install wasn't clean enough (the clock once showed 4 different time values, depending on which clock I was looking at on my screen - main clock, upper right or from the drop down menu). That was with bigmem enabled in Semaphore.

1) To perform a 100% clean install do I have to re-partition it with Odin? Or can I perform 'complete format' from within CWM that's important when installing new ROM?

2) If I'd like to switch kernel from Sema 3.4.3s to 3.4.3, what should I do? Is it enough to just install it with CWM recovery? Are wipes necessary? I think kernels are installed on 'Kernel' hidden partition, so there's nothing I can do to clear it somehow. Or do they put alter the boot partition as well?

Couple questions before I sell my Note2 on Swappa.

Hey guys. It's been a while since I've poked around the Note 2 sub-forum. A year or so ago I picked up a pair of 2013 Moto X's for my wife and I to make my life a little easier. I had a note 2, she had a s3. Playing admin for two devices, and keeping up with their individual quirks was proving to take up too much of my time, so, we decided to stream line. I wouldn't say the Motos are better by any standard, but, making the switch has made my life easier.

Recently, we've decided to move. We started going through our drawers cleaning things out and found these devices and thought we should sell them. They're both bootloader unlocked, so, they can run the latest and greatest CM builds. The thing is though, I've pretty much forgot what I'm doing with them.

I don't want to odin the device back to 4.1 and re-unlock it all, but I do want to clean up the device so none of our information is on it before shipping it off to it's new owner.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to wipe on the Note 2? Any changes that I should be made aware of that's happened with the device in the last year or so? I was gonna flash the unofficial CM12 build with gapps but if there's any other recommendations I'd love to hear them.

Thanks in advance.
