[GUIDE][SOLUTION] OnePlus 2 not showing in ADB but shows in Fastboot (Mac)(Linux)

First of I am doing this thread just to make it easier to find for us Mac guys, Full credit to the threads I used.

Ok had some time thought I would tackle this again. After googling a bit and searching on XDA I came up with this.

Should work in linux also.

In a command (Terminal) window type (Don't type the quotes just whats inside)
"nano ~/.android/adb_usb.ini"
Then when Nano opens add these lines (Don't type the quotes just whats inside)
"0x1949

0x18D1

0x2A70"

Then press the control (ctrl) key and then answer yes (Y) this will save the file.

If adb is running type

"adb kill-server"

Then

"adb devices"

You should see a device now.

Note:

Not tested on linux but it should work. If you are on a Mac and don't have nano then textedit will work fine.

HTC one s,music, pics everything gone, but shows in CWM recovery?!?

Hi,

I have an HTC one s (S4) and I need some desperate help! My phone is Rooted and runnning CWM v6.0.5.1.

Basically, last night I had the device's bootloader as "Unlocked" and working fine on cm11 (snapshot-M12). By stupidly trying to get the stock version of my phone, I ran an ruu (3.16.4.....) which, by first, I did the "fastboot oem unlock" command, which relocked my device.

Getting stock didn't work (maybe because my image was 3.16.1....?) so my phone got stuck, constantly showing the black "htc" logo screen.

So I unlocked my bootloader again through htcdev and everything seemed fine, so I thought, while i'm at it, I might as well try a different rom because I missed sense so much (hence why I tried to go back to stock), so I flashed the MaximusHD 10.0.0 rom.

Here the problem arises. I flashed the rom, everything went perfectly fine, until I went into my gallery and seen that ALL of my pictures were completely gone! Even whatsapp pics, so now my gallery was completely empty!
The rom came with ES file explorer, so I opened that app and seen EVERYTHING was gone!!:(:(:( Backups, pictures, music files, custom roms, everything! I even clicked "show hidden files" but no luck.

So I boot into recovery, go to install from zip/sd card, and everything is there! well, all the folders are there anyway. Even my old cm11 rom and gapps are there, but after I tried flashing cm11 again, I got a blank screen, when the Cyanogenmod logo is meant to show. So i went back to MaximusHD rom, and still, nothing in my gallery and file explorer shows, but it's still there in recovery?

So I connect my phone to my computer but still, nothing is there. However, when I go into settings, apps, I see that my storage is 14 out of 16gb. Weird.

so,so sorry about the long post, but I thought I'd give as much info as possible, because I had a lot of stuff that I can't seemingly attain! Is there any way possible to re-attain all my photos, backups etc?

Charging port does not work, screen constantly shows charging ...% when unplugged

My phone suddenly developed this problem ... it would not connect to KIES to download some photos so I removed the battery and SD card. After replacing the card & battery it beeps and charges very quickly as normal, but as soon as I remove the cord from the phone's lock screen it shows Charging ... (whatever) % and will NOT charge again until I remove and replace the battery again. Battery life is good so it seems not to be a weak battery. Also the SD card shows up correctly under storage so that seems also to be okay. Any ideas? Thank you!

Stagefright Security Update for Nexus 4/ Zimperium shows 2 new vulnerabilities

Opened my phone today to see if the security update was ready for install. Not only was the update not there, but there was 2 new vulnerabilities in : CVE 2015 3376 & CVE 2015 6602. Is Google late or are these updates coming out in a different format?? My phone is a rooted Nexus 4 / Android version 5.1.1 / Build # LMY 48M /. I certainly wish Google would keep us updated as to the release of these Security updates. If this October Security update is available for my phone, could someone re-direct me to the site so I can download and install it. Thanks...:) This post is all about the Stagefright Security vulnerabilities. Updates for said vulnerabilities only.

Samsung S4 i9505 shows different model number in download mode i.e SPH-L720

my samsung s4 is i9505, its in settings>about and beneath the battery. i rooted my phone a week ago and installed cyanogenmod rom 12 and then kushan rom v7. now i want go back stock 4.4.2, but in download mode my phone model is different then before. its SPH-L720. thats a verizon model. is this possible ??
further i cant install stock firmware(by stock firmware i mean stock firmware of i9505) in pc odin and the error msg is "complete write operation failed" however i can install stock firmware in mobile odin pro but during flashing modem # 2 remains same with msg "write protection enabled, skipping" and hence with end result my phone has no wifi, LTE and 3g connectivity. i cant flash boatloader and modem. the baseband is of verzion phone installled. current phone info;

i have tried different odin versions, different cables including original cable, different PC's with diff. OS & different ports on each PC. custom rom and recovery are still flashable and then wifi, lte and 3g works. triangle away 3.26 dosent reset the counter. kindly help me !!!
