I just compiled TWRP for a rooted Chinese-ish tablet, just afraid to flash it and then my device is bricked. It doesn't have fastboot so I can't do a "fastboot boot recovery.img". I can't seem to enter the bootloader either after doing "adb reboot bootloader", it just goes straight into Android. How should I go about testing this recovery, and if it is a bad recovery can I still boot into Android and flash a new one?

What happens after root?
This is a general question, I just want to ask that if i root my Android device then will i be able to get Latest Android system. Like if i root my Nexus 5 with Android Lollipop then am i able to get Marshmallow upgrade from Google?:confused::confused::rolleyes::rolleyes:
