[Q] How to boot in recovery console on Lenovo A5000

Hi guys,
title speaks for itself :)
I have tried every single method that came up from google:

Quote:

Recovery Mode Lenovo A5000

Turn off the device
Press and hold Volume UP key + Power Key for a few seconds
Release all key when Android Recovery Mode appears
Use Volume keys to select
Use Power key to confirm

Quote:

The combination should be-->

-->Simultaneously press&hold Power button & Volume+ and Volume- (Yes,both volume buttons).

If by using this combination the phone just shutdowns or restarts.....Simultaneously press&hold Power button & Volume+ and Volume- >Release all buttons when the Lenovo logo (the first static logo) disappears.

...or use a sequence--> Simultaneously press&hold Power button & Volume+ and Volume- -->Release only the Power button when the Lenovo logo appears-->Keep on pressing both Volume(+&) buttons until you enter the recovery mode.

don't remove your fingers until it boots up.. much better if you press first the volume keys before you power on.. keep pressing all together until it opens. or you might end up booting the chinese recovery.

With Vol Up+Power button managed to get this:

Quote:

Select boot mode:
[VOLUME_UP to select. VOLUME_DOWN is OK>]

[Recovery Mode] <<==
[Fastboot Mode]
[Normal boot]

i can change selection with Vol Up (move arrow), but neither Vol Down or Power button acts like OK button

Standalone Virtual Reality console introduction

Good afternoon XDADevs,

I hope you are are well.

I wanted to introduce our device to you. We are building the first standalone VR console, GameFace. Powered by the latest in Tegra tech with a custom fan cooling solution, our device has a 7 hour battery life and will never overheat, with the present prototype achieving the same horsepower as an Xbox 360 strapped to your face. We have a wider FoV than GearVR and the headset is lighter than the DK2.

We also have wireless positional and skeletal tracking, kind of like a Bluetooth kinect. Below is a recent clip of the headset working with the positional tracking solution.

We have cardboard support and wonder if anyone might be interested in testing out there VR experiences with a device that has a little more horsepower and a higher graphical fidelity than GearVR. Please feel free to message me or email info@gamefacelabs.com

Very best,

Ed Mason
