Backing up and restoring SMS across different apps

I frequently flash my phone and change try different SMS apps. The issue is that it doesn't seem like any of them use one consistent backup file format.

Recently I was on CM12 but didn't like losing all the cool camera features from the stock ROM. Now I'm on BadBoyz using Textra/HTC Messaging but cannot restore my text messages from the CM12 Messaging app.

I used a backup/restore app from the play store but that wasn't able to restore either. Then I tried getting the CM12 Messaging app but have not been able to get it to run on BB ROM -- it crashes as soon as I open it.

Anyone have ideas how to restore my messages? Or can you point me to some kind of resource as to how SMS backups should be done -- maybe there's some way to change the database format from one app's preference to another's.

[Q] auto sync ebooks epub/pdf/txt across my NST and other android devices

here's what I want to achieve... download an ebook/epub on my android phone or tablet and have the ebook automatically downloaded to my NST.

Is there such app? It's so much easier to search and download epub on my phone or tablet than the NST which has an horrible touch screen. I want to be able to download an ebook on my phone, read it and continue reading on my NST all automatically..

is there an app for that or a setup to achieve this?
