As I'm sure everyone who owns an Xperia E knows all too well, this phone won't even update all the system apps before having run out of space. Even right after re-flashing.
That's because its total memory is partitioned in the most moronic way imaginable:
- 739MB - Phone Memory - that's where all the unmovable system apps sit, along with the cache.
- 2.01GB - Internal Storage - that's where all your photos and various other less important stuff go by default.
The result is I can't even update some of the system apps while the Internal Memory partition stays largely unused because I'm not the kind of guy who takes lots of pictures and stuff.
And yes, there are lots of wonderful apps like App Manager or Link2SD and such but those can't move system apps from Phone Memory anywhere else. And they would be very helpful if I was running out of Internal Storage, which I'm not. They don't do the job I want done.
So, if I can't move system apps, I think the only other solution is to give them more room. What I want to do is expand the Phone Memory partition at the cost of the Internal Storage partition so that the Phone Memory one has 2GB, while Internal Storage has the rest.
However, I don't know how to do that since the Phone Memory partition doesn't show up in partitioning software when I connect the phone to PC. I haven't been able to find anything on the subject on Google, so I'm asking here:
How do I expand my phone's Phone Memory partition using either some software for Windows (or Linux) or some trickery/apps on the device itself?
My device: Sony Xperia E (C1505)
Unlocked bootloader: yes
Rooted: yes
