Question: I'm about to unlock my Note 5 via AT&T giving me the unlock, once I unlock my device will I be able to root the device as if it were any other note 5 root? Or am I stuck with this AT&T root problem because I bought the AT&T model?

Unable to use fastboot on HTC one m9 once in bootloader
I am at my wits end with this.
I have a rooted M9 and it is currently a developer edition which i converted from an AT&T edition. I had some issues with rooting my phone prior because I could not get fastboot to work when phone was in bootloader mode. I used another pc and installed adb fastboot and it worked.
Now I am trying to flash stock recovery to receive updates and now with with both of my computers I am unable to command when phone is in bootloader or download mode. I have installed and reinstalled all the necessary drivers many times and it will not work.
I would really appreciate someones help. Thanks.
Also I am unable to uninstall HTC Drivers in my control panel on my PC. It gives me an error as if I need another piece of software to uninstall it. I don't know if that is an issue.
