Wi-Fi on the watch slows it down

Not sure what's going on here but when I turn on Wi-Fi in the watch, the watch lags so bad, almost comes to a halt. It's also not easy to figure out if it has something to do with Bluetooth radio. Does anyone know what's the issue?
