is there any opensource superuser/su app ? (bounty?)

hi guys,
The last known opensource su/superuser app was Koush's which was forked from the ChainsDD project.

AFAIK, SuperSU is a closed source app owned by an anonymous LLC.

Is it possible to revive the superuser project and put up a bounty ?
